Of course I am going to root for Rain, but Curious' story really got to me. I really want Rain to win, but Curious winning wouldn't be the end of the world.

Curious is too intelligent to refuse the help of the Roach
Interesting match. Haven't seen Rain's PvZ in some time, but I'd imagine he plays very macro-oriented which should mix well with Curious and provide some exciting games.

imo curious showed he is a far superior player. Rain played really well, curious just made a few static d and muta patroling errors. Also zerg late game is not good so I don't expect curious to do a build like that again.

But do you really need 20 tempest to do that? I feel like 10-15 would be more than enough if you spend the free supply for a few voidrays to aid in direct engagements. Because that's how I see Protoss lose their skytoss army all the time... Mothership gets pulled, stuff gets fungaled, Corrupters on top of the Tempest => the game ends.

I doubt Curious would just sit still and not try to scout what Rain was doing. The minute he sees canceled nexus and 4 gates, he'll just cut drone production and focus on full on queen/ling/roach for defense.
I feel like the final engagement he should have pushed much harder into the spines and the few roaches and FF'd behind him to keep out the rest of the roaches. He had to burn too many FF maybe?

I think Curious might go on tilt now. Thinking of how he's always been a decent zerg but never quite got to the regular mentality of I'm a top zerg and can win this.

Zerg double gold base on G2 seems pretty strong and safe. What's the Protoss counter to it? Cannon rush won't pay off, as Zerg can just cancel and expand somewhere else. Fast expand + stargate/robo for early pressure would be too slow to stop the Zerg econ lead. Quick 4-gate stalker sentry all-in?

Some good games, game 1 was something you simply had to expect with both of these guys playing. Happy that we wont see a ZvZ final. Hopeing for Rain to take it!
God I really hate Byul because he is so overrated. But I want him to win because I don't want a Korean that betrayed Kespa to win a Korean tournament. They don't deserve it. But at the same time, I don't want this win to go to Byul's (and his fans') heads into thinking that he is the second NesTea, DRG or Life, because he is not.

From what I've heard, apparently he took a break from practice for a few weeks. If you watched Rain's stream from that period, you could see him like, just lose to some pretty standard Factory aggression on the ladder.
Guess he must've picked up practicing again at some point lol
