It's not necessarily bad vs roaches if you have a lot of stuff to back it up, but you do need that stuff first. With how gas heavy templar and storm research are, you're far far better off opening mass blink stalker/sentry/immortal while upgrading and teching slowly.


Of course, I fully agree. But when you do have HTs in the late game, behind a beefy army, they do actually wreck everything besides Ultras. Saying they are only good vs Hydra/Ling and maybe stacked up corruptrs is a bit much .

Rogue also had used some creative roach burrowed harass while transitioning to fast bl army. You need to delay and harass mineral lines though. If this is the case its very difficult for the Protoss player to get value from the templar based composition, particularly if the full bl army is able to get out.

That goddamn patch. It killed my PvT for half a year until I learned how to play colossus builds.
