Imo it's not a mistake because Stats is their best performer (barring Life) in everything right now, just got an all kill yesterday and is incredibly solid. It's easy to say it's a mistake after the match but Flash could've lost to Maru and we would say the same.
You can't judge coaching only by the results and both options weren't optimal but had their merits. The fact that the Stats option failed doesn't mean it was a bad one or that the Flash one would've been better.

Polt got to the finals of IEM Cologne and the Ro4 of IEM Katowice while playing KeSPA Protosses. Maru lost a bo7 against Classic in season 2 and lost to Life in the Ro8 in Code S season 1.

I understand, looking at Stats he seems like the obvious pick. But Maru pick's apart straight up players like Stats and Flash is very strong in TvT, even with his struggle (which is largely against zerg anyway).
I simply think Flash had a higher chance of winning the game

Didnt Taeja have the biggest period of domination during the time that Protoss were dominating(most finals were PvP and PvZ if Taeja wasnt around) and Terran were nowhere to be found... including Maru? Taeja actually started his decline as T got buffed... lol
