On the other hand we have CS:GO that has 10 times more people watching and they have more players to cheer for because their scene is not full of Koreans. Unfortunately, at the moment I don't see why anyone would put their money into starcraft2 when they have CS:GO.

The more I think about it, good PvP like this really isn't a bad way to introduce Starcraft to anyone who happens to tune in out of curiousity. Yeah, it would be nice to showcase one of the other races. But I remember the first tournament I watched, an MLG in like June 2011 that I stumbled onto because of a link from Rock Paper Shotgun. Back then, I had never played Starcraft, although I understood the principles of RTS from playing Warcraft and Age of Empires and such. Back then, I loved seeing the Colossus show up, because it was all big and shiny and lazery. After playing the game and watching it for years, I now basically agree with the consensus that it's a kind of clunky and boring unit. But all those laser fights were a good gateway drug for me to get into learning the intricacies of this great game. I imagine I would have felt the same way about Tempests if those had existed back then.

If every foreigner had the same skill and mindset as Snute,Naniwa in his prime and Stephano when he was dominating we wouldn't have this problem, but keep on crying about koreans.
