Dark would have won that fight without the Ultras. It was the macro combined with the defense of all of the aggression that broke Taeja, not the production of 5-6 Ultralisks. Imagine all of those Ultras converted to additional Banelings and Zerglings and he still wins that fight with correct army movement. | ||

More lings/blings would've probably just eaten more shots from tanks and marauders, whereas the Ultras were able to tank a little bit. Look at that second to last engagement, all lings were dead, ultras alive. I don't think it's as easy as you make it. You have stop thinking about the times were zerg players just built 30 ultras and thought that'd be it. Ultras stop getting more efficient past a certain point, just as any melee unit. | ||
