PvP is still herO's weakness and Rain is just very very solid.
Rain and Life are the best two players in the tournament so I'm hoping for that finals. As long as Classic doesn't make it to the finals I'd be happy with any other possible matchup though.

He got veeeeery lucky in that series
I don't see him beating any of these protoss people left in a longer series

I have a feeling Rain will likely get knocked out by his tough side of the bracket before the final and whoever knocks him out will probably lose in the final to either Life or Classic. Classic is playing very well, is pretty underrated, and is due for a big moment; PartinG will need something special to get past him. Life's ZvP is his worst matchup and there are a LOT of world class Protosses in the running here, so he's going to struggle, even though he's the best overall obv.

Little late to the party here and also didn't catch all the latest Starcraft developements (watched some matches but didn't follow the trend):
Why are there not more Terrans in that tournament? Is the game imba as in the PvP or PvZcraft times again?
Almost seems like it: lots of protoss and Zerg and then... Maru. Just asking because I finally installed SC2 again, but if it is like in late 2013 and first half of 2014, neither playing nor watching the game on a regular base makes sense to me, since the constant PvP and PvZs were annoying me.

All the WCS/GSL/NSSL had pretty good balance IIRC. Just wasn't too many top quality Terrans at this IEM. ForGG played pretty bad and Polt just wasn't up to it.

Various reasons. Some of the ones qualified ended up not showing (iNnoVation, Kas - and Bomber in quals). The Terrrans who came didn't have their best showings (ForGG/Polt). And then some of the qualifiers were over-represented by some races (ex: the Taiwan scene which is largerly Zerg).

No, if you look at GSL and SSL there is a pretty good race distribution, maybe even the best we've got since HotS came out.

In terms of qualifiers, slightly more Terrans made it. However, Kas and Bogus cancelled.
For whatever reason a disproportionate amount of Zergs filled the open bracket.
The wildcard slots contained no Terrans. Perhaps none of the top ones were available?
For the ro8, Polt and ForGG just weren't top 2 quality for their respective groups.

I cannot stand watching protoss anymore (in NO matchup, but especially in PvP). What is NSSL? Ahhh thx for clearing that up. I just saw the brackets and groups and well I was disappointed that after 1 year, nothing has changed. Glad to hear Terrans start to do ok again. Still hope for some huge changes in the Addons considering the races (not only the eco, but I like that already)

Great Top 8, the only thing I'd like to see different is maybe TRUE, but we've got some great Zerg already so I'm not complaining.
|
Sick top 8. I don't even want to try to predict anything, all the players will have a shot at the championship.
|
wtf the three players I'm rooting for are all on one side of the bracket. -_- really wanted herO v Rain or Rain v Soulkey or Soulkey v herO in the finals.

All I see is SKT vs eXKt. Classic must prevail!
