I think Major, Kelazhur, CatZ and JimRising will qualify
Vai Kela!

I wonder how Darness will do, last year he had a good run and almost makes it, but now I think he is not training as hard
Will BLord be able to compete, I wonder. His move back to Peru is imminent, from what I've heard.

The question I am wondering right now is who is gonna cast the qualifiers? I'm guessing Pedroca & friends gonna do a Portuguese stream, but no idea on who (if any) will cast Spanish or English.

Looking forward to the advancing players. The Latin American region was always an enigma to me.

Looking at the player list and brackets for this, is Major not playing in this one? Liquipedia has him listed, but I cannot seem to find any player that matches up with him on binarybeast... Maybe I'm missing him or his mysterious ID?
I'd be insanely disappointed to not see him play in this, as he is obviously the best Latin American player.
he is playing, check the liquipedia top bracket
Oh there he is. Thanks.
It's too bad Kelazhur is in the same bracket as Major, but I imagine he'll get through the second qualifier. Would love to see Major + Catz tonight.
yeah thats bad luck for Kelazhur, i hope he can make it though he has been playing pretty well

everybody is watching the na qual :p it's ok start taking deep breaths :3

If the person who is updating liquipedia results is reading this now, Shakti switched to toss (from zerg).
If not, i will update it later.

MajOr wins and qualify to Challenger League!
Major games were pretty good. Thought he was about to lose to those swarm hosts
Hope CatZ qualifies tomorrow!

For some reason I'm surprised the Spanish word for gas is gas.
I don't know why, thought it would be something else.

Chek it the root of both languages.

Is CatZ being shown on any of the streams?
Why isn't Maker playing in the qualifier? He hasn't retired has he?
Anyway BLord fighting!

Shakti or Kelazhur will be in challenger league!

kelazhur going strong gogogogo!!!!!!!!!

Kelazhur has been looking pretty good lately. Of course I could be biased by his victory over the ghost of TSL_Rain.

Seems odd that the brackets were set up so that the two best remaining performers yesterday (ByRada and Cham) faced each other in the ro16 of the same bracket. Anyone know how seeding worked?

Man, I love the LA scene, especially the casters. They aren't doing it to get famous, make money, anything like that. It's rare to see a LA event with over 500 viewers, even this event has struggled to reach 1000. These guys run on pure passion. And the same players have been plugging away since the start of WoL, always showing good games.
this 5 pages are pure passion

Can't object to that (though maybe they should have put them both in the bottom bracket then)

That also makes sense.
I actually didn't know these two before the qualifiers, but their performance has been great. Aside from a single map loss by cham, they've only dropped maps to yesterday's winners and each other. I was looking forward to seeing a wider selection of what they can do.

just making sure nobody spoils all this passion :p

winning before +2 range attack yay!
Cham is running circles around CatZ right now.
not looking good for CatZ
CatZ is almost broke.
cham got this
Don't see how Cham can lose with 2/2 mutas vs. CatZ' 2-0 mutas.
Wow CatZ' mutas evaporated in that fight.
Noooo Cham throwing hard right now.
The most lonely broodlord.
Looks like CatZ has got this. Cham letting those infestors run wild really came back to haunt him, tunnel vision on the muta battle.
I cannot believe Catz won this game. Crazy. Cham should have had total map control, and a bunch of infestors should have been easy to manage. At most, he loses a couple mutas for 5-6 infestors. Cham totally threw this game. But it's okay because I'd rather see Catz anyway :D
WOW ... that was both exciting and painful to watch action was awesome, but the terrible misplays on both sides... XD best of luck to catz, but theres no way he goes anywhere if thats his level :/
Woo! Congrats Catz, that 3rd game was nail biting! So good!
holy shit! cant believe this.
Wow, CatZ lost like 20-30 muta without much in return, but Cham just could not stop the infestor hit squads.
Glad CatZ pulled it out but it was just by the skin of his teeth.

He's definitely screwed if paired against Major, however.

If every region is deciding its Challenger pairings the same way, then JimRising has effectively drawn the short straw and faces Major.
