nope i just remember a bunch won first place this year and that was it. whereas soo is memorable because he's been hitting second place back to back to back to back.

He's clearly just another random Protoss that hasn't "been through the gauntlet" like soO! Very logical!

FruitDealer was kinda unique for his time with baneling/roach drops etc. It is a shame he is not playing anymore ...

He has lost to San and later on to Zest in the semis of Global tourney, he lost 3:1 to Super in the Ro16 of KSC and his SPL season was pretty meh, I mean 13-11 with 54% win record. Unlike Zest who has had an amazing year in any type of competition he has participated in.
Looking at todays result and soO's 4:3 victory, you cannot possibly say that he is better player than Zest, looking at their GSL finals match likewise. IMO 2 of the best and most consistent players in the world ATM and have been during the entire year. Zest's Proleague season was completely mediocre, only thing why people are thrilled about it is SKT T1 all-kill in R1 playoffs finals. Not taking anything from Zest, but meh. But without doubt, Zest is best Protoss in whole HotS, soO might secure best Zerg if he wins GSL/Blizzcon/both. Dreamhack won't work though :D And arguably, best Terran of all HotS is going be in the final as well, considering amount of TvT information he got from Battlegrounds.
soO is best Zerg of the year regardless of his performances in the rest of the tournaments. Noone is even close to topping him.

Soo just toppled three times in the finals, this could be his fourth. If he didnt win, then the next season he should not play any more, just give him the silver medal instead.
