when Bomber did the elevator in the main Rain pulled his Probes away in a single line against 6 Hellions. It also looked like he didn't focus fire. He placed one useless force field in the middle of nowhere instead of using it to block the hellions from going towards his mineral line or waiting for guardian shield. He also didn't focus on the hellions but let his stalkers attack marines that got healed by a medivac. When Bomber later dropped in the natural, Rain tried to fight marauders+marines with too few units. He could have pulled probes immediately or he could have pulled back and waited for another warp-in. Instead he lost his units (also another absolutely useless force field). Just a huge amount of mistakes against an attack that he should have played against a hundred times on ladder and in practice. To me it looked like Rain wasn't really focused on the game, maybe because of leaving SKT | ||

He was throwing out 270 degree forcefields and basically negated a ton of soO's damage. soO took a game off with a hatchery-on-ramp Catz build, but otherwise was outplayed in the series. Bomber games were the standard early blob pressure into pulling the boys. Rain got a game on with a one-sided romp (2 Colossi push and 2 POs to stop Bomber's drop). Game 4 was pretty brutal as Rain was crippled from the initial marine/hellion pressure (nice elevator play and never let up on drops). | ||
