Random IEM Employee: Sir Carmac! We've done it we got the power online and the players are ready to go! Carmac: Finally, this clusterfuck is over, tweet it out to the world we're about to start!
3 minutes later
Random IEM Employee: Sir Carmac! We were about to start but the entire audio system has been sabotaged and the power is offline again. Carmac: SPIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's probably just a chain of ESL workers complaining to Carmac and Redeye, and the 2 of them complaining to the convention's coordinators.

At this point, I am vehemently hoping that the problems are streaming related and not SC2/internet related, so that they can at least get the players going, as it does no good for the players to sit on their asses doing nothing for 4 hours when they were expecting to play.

I like to think ESL have set up a thunderdome where Carmac and crew fight Spider and NASL Sound Guy to a fight to the death.

Could I perhaps go to bed, wake up and not miss anything?

It's been well-established that the problems have been the power at the venue. A circuit broke yesterday, in fact.

Has there ever been an IEM in China that didn't face hours of delays?

In this corner, the Shaper of Dreams! Titan of Esports Business! The legendary Carmac!
And in the other corner, the shadowy visage of audiological death himself! The Silencer! The Undisputed Sensei of White Noise! NASL SOUND GUY!
As the fight begins, the power goes out, and when it's restored, we see only Sundance standing over their bruised corpses, his laptop dented in one corner, and a single splash of blood across the MLG logo on his chest.
