You should turn off adblock any time you watch a stream, dip-poopie. It's unfair to the streamers and their audience as well as the people who play the game to use adblock.
otherwise you're kind of a leech

@ destiny
wasn't your original plan to go with scarlett snute + korea?

This is the same guy who has absolutely no respect for this game or anyone that plays it. Either it be another Zerg, or even worse a Protoss or Terran, all he does is full-out insult anybody that beats him during a ladder match. He feels playing any race besides Zerg takes absolutely no skill and that you suffer from "autism" if you choose to play a race or a style which he does not appreciate.
This is the same guy who not too long ago retired from the game and would give endless speeches about how horrible the state of the game is, but now he's holding the community a tournament pretending to be some kind of a savior of the game. This dude is the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen. Talks shit about how Avilo's playstyle is annoying and horrible yet constantly plays swarm host vs every matchup. Talks shit about Starcraft 2: HoTS when it first released, then holds the community a $4000 tourny lol.
At least he is doing something good for the community with this tournament idea. Much to the opposite of your post. Good luck with the tournament ! Will definitely tune in for it ! Calling someone out for being a douchebag so there is some semblance of accountability for behavior? I mean it's kind of futile in this case but still. Those horrible community members with standards of demeanor.
@protech, yeah man
on topic: still, this is what NA needs more of, so

All this shit about, "He's a terrible human and I won't support it" or whatever is dumb. Even if you don't like the guy you can appreciate that there is another smaller SC2 tournament being held. That's good for everyone. I have been an avid Destiny fan for a long time, so of course I looooove this. But even if you're not, it should still make you happy.
Or maybe the people hating on it are just waiting for the players to be announced, I don't know.

So we pay for it, and Destiny gets the ad money and exposure from it? Strange set up, but should be a good event.

indiegogo at 43% and still over 2 weeks left. It looks promising to hit 5k.

If it gets fully funded the I definitely make money from this, of course. I don't want to take on the risk of putting up a $5k event on my own because I don't want to just lose $5,000, though. Money that I raise from this will go towards the next tournament, though, so hopefully it's worth the initial round of community capital.

So how much money Destiny is usingto this tournament? Or do we "pay"(crowfund) this tournament? That is really strange. Should tournament be then called Crowdfunded tournament or something?

I think the name is fine. You wouldn't call ti4 a crowd funded tournament.

Valve's making a profit off TI4 and is a little bit bigger than Destiny. I think this is fine.

Best of 9 finals, thank god

Jeez, a lot of negativity for something people are willingly donating their $$ for. Its not like dest0ne factored in the time and effort it took to set this thing up and is charging us 14 greenbacks an hour for that. If you don't like the idea of paying for a tourny, don't pay for it.

I'm excited for it, hope it all goes super well Destiny so there are more in the future.
