I think that TooDming is pretty contingent on how much he has played cross server of late. Illusion is supposed to have put in some good effort of late if the rumors around NA are correct.

He is the play-by-play, that is not his job. He should be referring those questions to the analyst, providing discussion during downtime where relevant and then calling the action. That's his role.

Glad that Alicia won after that brutal lag spike. It would have been painful if he lost after such a terrible moment. I mean, its no booth falling on your head, but still pretty bad.
If TooDming somehow found a way to utilize his Evo Chambers as soon as 2/2 for Melee and Carapace were finished and continued production on Ranged attacks while transitioning into Hydras the Stalkers wouldn't have been so scary to me, or possibly a few Infestors mixed in if he took the gases at the main.

lol, Toodming doesn't belong after that game. He might have gotten very distracted by lag? I think pretty much anyone else would have easily dominated Alicia there though.

Spent the entire fight looking for what Toodming was killing with his mutalisks.. but he didn't target the warp prism, the sentries or the immortals at all. Maybe he got a little too overconfident and thought a-moving was good enough, but this was a silly way to lose
But then again Chinese zergs have a habit of horribly throwing vs Alicia. One did it last year where they just needed to eliminated Alicia's small army to win after a basetrade, except he forgot to build anything so Alicia killed his extractor and won.

Thats why you build more than one spine against a build like this. The only way that build works is if the zerg is so incompetent and deserves to lose.

yeah and I think it may have been before they changed barracks build time. Maybe it can sort of work with gold base if you somehow catch them completely off guard because you can get the barracks a little quicker?

Only 5 seconds, so it isn't the biggest of deal. Queen patch was way bigger than barracks build time. Now, barracks before supply was another story

I'm sure there's something I'm missing and something he's come across where it has worked for him. It just seems a little weird. It was a build that was used in the early days of sc2. I just haven't seen it used in a long time because I'm pretty sure it got phased out. I assume it must have something to do with the gold base because it was usually done on just blue base maps before.

I've never seen any SC2 client located anywhere actually capable of causing another client to get 'Waiting for Server'. I would expect any "China to NA issues" to cause clients in China to lag/spike, not causing the Observer PC to get 'Waiting for Server'? o_o

I didn't get to see much today but the observing computer itself was getting the waiting for server popup? did they restart the observer computer after Illusion asked them to? Sounds like a problem on the observer's end

Yeah if I recall they started late and used a different PC for the first computer, assuming that's because the main PC was having problems, as we good see with the lag spikes.
