I don't call a period of ~1 year into a period of ~2 years of "fuck this I'm done" successful. Edit: after checking this: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IdrA/Results#Detailed_Results, I still hold my point :/. He had a great 2011 and then faded. On topic: guess it's abusive?

Don't let me start on Naniwa's potential. people seem to forget that idra was mechanically superior to almost all foreigners and one of the few who could keep up with the korean overlords in that regard. he also used to be the best zerg on the planet at the start of sc2. if he dhad have any passion for sc2 then who knows how far he would've gotten.

I still think that if Idra had a better mindset we wouldn't have had nearly as much terrible balance patches in WoL. Idra as a role model taught people the (terrible and wrong) concept of "only a macro game is a real game and cheese is bad" and also that balance whine is acceptable ^.^

That's what I'm saying, there are huge "IFs". This is pointless.

In the RO8 he goes up against innovation and promptly 3-0s with baneling busts, RO4 he's up against soulkey where he turns the series into a 5 game 1 hour each swarmhost marathon. 4-0s stork with three six pools and a two hour swarm host game that gets remade into an hour long swarmhost game that he wins. SC2 then implodes and becomes too ded for even TB's dick.

I'm just saying that over a period of 2010 to 2014, which I mean when I refer to "SC2", IdrA was not a successful player. Let's count 2014 out, then he would've dominated the foreign scene for one fourth of the overall period of time he was active - which I do not say is successful in terms of results.
