One of the best ZvZ's I've seen in HotS so far. I love those baneling fights, and that was a great display of quality (+1/+1) vs. quantity (double gas baneling pressure). Really great action! oh for sure, mass muta is exciting to watch, i love mutas myself. i just don't understand how she was supposed to win. seems like her ultra transition was way too late. i think either swarm hosts like someone else said or going into roaches after she pushed TLO back the first time would have been a better option. i'm really curious to see a VOD or something of her playing this on ladder and beating good players I feel like a pre-spread would've helped. Form a half circle, then a move while microing banelings/small groups of mutas to prevent clumping. Or, for the sake of ZvT, baneling landmines . true. that's so hard to do though, i know from experience. you spend so much APM trying to set up the circle and then if your opponent jukes in the wrong direction you end up with half your mutas engaging and dying while you're still trying to micro the other half
i'm sure scarlett is capable of it though, just didn't work out there

I still watch that gif in amazement. to be honest in the first engagement scarlett had insane muta splits, the first fungal literally went right between two flocks of mutas that both just curved around it. that's why i was so surprised she didn't pull off any more sick micro in the second fight not to mention if you are doing that jaedong split over hydras queens and spores every mutalisk is going to die whether it gets hit by a fungal or not

Yes, because in the Bo7 she would have taken all 4 kills, therefore it is an all kill. Though usually implied, with revive an all kill does not require a perfect record.

No offense to Desrow, but I don't think he can touch TLO. Huk is our hope now. TLO has lost to worse Protosses Maybe during his darker days, but TLO is extremely good these days again His ZvP is abysmal. Look at aligulac: ZvT 1719 Pts. ZvZ 1616 Pts. ZvP 1566 Pts. Well, if you look at Aligulac, that is still 350 points more than desrow's PvZ. I'd say desrow has an underdog chance and it would surprise me less than Sjow beating Life, but it would still be a huge surprise. HuK and resurrected Scarlett will be a bigger problem.

She's been up all night playing and it's what, 6am over there now? I really don't think she'll play ace, HuK will have to cover for her I think.

TLO takes gas but does not make second queen
is this the zenio baneling bust?
edit: nope. just a late queen

I wish Inori vs J happened
The Ultimate Battle of Ultimate Destiny.
In the background of this GSTL is a tale of two players: Fnatic RC's J and TSL's Inori. Both are constantly used in GSTL matches by their teams. Both can’t seem to win for the life of them. With his loss in last night’s GSTL, J is now 0 - 13. Inori hasn’t gotten a win in Gom studio’s for two years now. While Fnatic is eliminated and TSL is in the playoffs, this is a match that should and will inevitably happen.
Some rivalries happen because two players keep clashing against each other and create amazing games like Polt vs Stephano, or Seed vs Symbol. Other rivalries happen because of a group stage selection that was never forgiven, like Nada vs Keen. Some are just natural born enemies sworn to fight each other to the death like Inca vs detection.
In this case, it is a rivalry to escape the bottom. It is two players that have the complete faith from their teams despite having some of the largest losing streaks in SC2 history. This battle will finally answer the age old question, "What happens when a movable object meets a stoppable force?"
One day, one day.

keep in mind the higher his overall score goes, the higher go all the matchup scores as well even without performing well in that matchup. But yes, you are right, on paper he is still the favorite. But TLO has disappointed me so many fucking times against lesser opponents, especially vs. Protoss, so my hopes aren't high, I really think desrow will take it.

Is it a new thing specific to face TLO ? Mass hidden units ?

Desrow has a pretty interesting SimCity going here.

TLO is losing to mass Phoenix.
