It seems pretty dumb that they're waiting 45 minutes to 1 hour, rather than moving up one of the other matches. Don't actual Koreans deal with playing early in order to play WCS AM? It's one of the things you have to put up with if you're in Korea playing WCS AM, and I'm not sure why Scarlett can't be made to play early by them. Instead it screws up the broadcast in the middle of it.
Obviously not Rotterdam's decision, but some really questionable decision making by whoever made that one. Good on them for not making Minigun forfeit, but dumb to mess up the broadcast by not moving other things around.

i was under the impression that tournaments are there so you can compete and advance by playing better than other competitors, but i'm not going to open up this can of worms here

The can is opened and only HerO and perhaps Pigbaby (because Pigbaby) are allowed to advance from todays matches since the other combatants are not championship winning material.

SC2 isn't an "on-call" job. You're given a schedule and you plan your day around that.
I highly doubt Scarlett has some pressing conflict at 7:50 AM. You're given a schedule, but sometimes schedules change and people have to adapt. Europeans may have stayed up to watch potentially if there were games going on, but I suspect a large number of them will call it quits. Not as pressing, but even for North Americans having a big hour-long gap in the middle of the broadcast is going to cause lots of people to tune out. At least, I got the impression from what Rotterdam said that the problem was that they didn't want to make Scarlett play too early. Maybe Hendralisk was out or something in which case he would've had to have time to get home and that's a different matter.
e: apparently it's been moved up though and won't be a full hour after the previous games, so my complaint is less relevant now.

After his ATC performance this matchup suddenly becomes really interesting. This mornig I would've bet money on Scarlett, now I can see Hendralisk advancing.
Oof, sacking all the banelings on that queen could've been the only way Scarlett survived that. I feel like if he still had those four banes during the attack, Hendralisk would've smacked her at that point.

I think it's gonna be really hard for Scarlett to come back, I feel like coming back when behind in a ZvZ series is definitely super challenging. Insert complaints about 2014 challenger league format yada yada yada.

This game has been pretty crazy. Ten pool baneling didn't do much but gave Scarlett a slight worker lead. Hendra used his faster speed to take map control and apply pressure to get a faster expo and get more workers. Now it is stable 2 base vs 2 base with advantage to hendralisk

In the last 2 months in ZvZ, shes 0-7 in games and 0-4 in series, something must be going very wrong.

True enough, I haven't seen or heard much of Scarlett since she went to Korea period, so I don't quite rate the 3 month gap myself. She looked caught out enough times that it Hendralisk definitely earned the win.
Haha I assume it's because they are happy it got postponed which gives Minigun more time to prepare (and it would have been hard for him to play from the hospital).
I'm still bitter about the challenger league format and how one match determines your WCS fate, I don't understand why they didn't do it like Code A. Not just saying this cause my favorite player ever lost, but it's also that I wanted them both in premier and it happens very often that the draws just end in some disappointment. Obviously this would still be the case with groups, but much less so.

It seems like that happens quite a bit. She keeps getting caught out of position or in a bad spot. It happened vs Toodming (which was an amazing play by him but damn did it hurt to watch).

I have a soft spot for Scarlett, I don't mind seeing Col players do well at all as one is a former teammate, and I would prefer they not sell their SC division as they did their CoD team (Not that I know of any buyers ATM), I just like seeing Scarlett do well.

Yeah I've never liked that policy but it is always the case for WCS AM. I remember HerO and MajOr both wanting to be on KR for their match way back in 2013 Season 1 but they weren't allowed (when MajOr was in Korea)

especially if u have to play ur weakest matchup
It becomes a very luck based draw, having to play a veteran player zerg who's a ZvT monster while you're an up and coming american terran who struggles late game against zerg for example just sucks so much.

I remember when they announced the 2014 WCS structure, they emphasized on simplifying the challenger league and streamlining it for viewers (which it was pretty much the old Code A and yeah it could be confusing, but I pick up on those things fast ). But regardless, that challenger league gave players chances to come back after losing a match. I think they may have oversimplified the structure, all SC2 viewers understand the double elimination groups and they would've sufficed. So baffling.

Yeah. The bracket ----> groups was confusing but I think the way Code A is now is better than how Challenger is in AM and EU

Yeah, I could see the old bracket into group stages thing being a little inefficient, but going from that, where a player had 3 chances to get in, to a single Bo5 is bad.
Wow! Congratz Hendralisk. Gotta agree with everyone though. I would have liked to have seen groups here, but as is, its going to be a premier league without Scarlett. Hopefully she keeps confident and motivated and comes out with a huge bang next season and in other leagues.
Excited for Has and Pigbaby. Not particularly a fan of either, but I like to root for Taiwanese and JinAir players, but Pigbaby left JinAir, so gogo Has! XD

and ESL is renovating a venue in Los Angeles for the WCS NA Ro16
aLive won't be there to take his spot in the non-existent Season 2 Finals after Jim has Visa issues again. Part of me misses those season finals just because of the great games they produced, but it's probably for the best that they're gone.

I really hope so, although I think I will be away at camp during that Code A it would be awesome to see her get through and have the first foreigner in Code S for a good number of seasons. That would be so sick.

Pigbaby did a shitload of proxy gates in Proleague so try to look at this objectively. I know we've seen a lot more Has cheesing lately just because Pigbaby hasn't been active

Relatively onesided. Hendralisk obviously prepared for Scarlett really well, with some +1 armor ling build to counter Scarlett's fast mutas and also predicted a 10 pool from Scarlett in the 3rd game.

I remember that. I believed that was the moment when Mvp transformed from the invincible, indomitable player to the scrappy underdog champion. Mvp in 2011 was dominant, but Mvp in 2012 was cunning and scrappy, and still won a fair bit.
