Granted. But in those groups, those two players were VERY well prepared and played quite well. Having only one matchup was a big advantage.

Giant doodads are fine on the top side of the map, but along the bottom it would block player vision of the playable area. Aesthetically, the map is supposed to look radially symmetrical, so...

or Cure could have prepared for the map and not clicked into the air space behind the blockers. I noticed it the first time I tested this map that units get stuck there if you click past the blockers.

If Cure actually had any ability to multitask he would have been fine though. They just sat there.
And he just left his vikings unattended for several seconds.

Yeah but how many things has Blizz shot down explicitly because they're too counter-intuitive to newbies? Most of those have been easier to figure out than random areas of the map being no-flight zones just cuz. It won't be a big deal once the pros figure it out and simply don't send their units there so it's a non-issue, but still the thought process is pretty funny.

Well those were 4 fully upgraded DTs, you need to divert a lot of army into defending that and then you risk losing your base..
Even Innovation had problems dealing with constant chargelot warpins, and DTs are even harder to deal with...

Cure's micro on his main army is pretty good, abusing cliffs with his vikings, sniping and EMPing HTs, dodging storms. But his multitasking is just terrible compared to Paralyze
...and as I say that he gets caught out of position and hit by 4 storms

I really like how this map looks so far. Has many angles of attack, interesting spread of bases, no gross imbalances for any race. Triple A map imho

Well played by Paralyze, but it looked a ton harder for Terran to expand, defend and harrass than it does for Protoss 0.0
He never let Cure get that foothold and have the time to breathe to clear the map :D

Nothing to do with Wolf, I get the impression that he'd be happy to keep repeating Tasteless's jokes forever and ever. Tasteless just doesn't let himself get too comfortable any time he's casting with non-Artosis. I don't like to psychoanalyze, but I would guess he knows Artosis will pick up 100% of the slack if necessary, with others he instinctively takes the job more seriously because he knows they're not that good.

Well the reason I called it "super eco-greed" is specifically because he skipped on a lot of defense / scouting and basically hoped Super wouldn't attack. The hidden 3rd isn't necessarily so bad but he essentially went all-in with it by disregarding any safety precautions.

I think it was more a case of super greed with two helions. You must invest into a factory, you must spend 200 minerals on those helions and he even lost them. Fast third with additional rax to get more units out + more bunkers would probably be better. Not sure if he would survive or not but I think it was more about the combo of fast 3rd and helions that killed him.

he just got destroyed in every game where he transitioned normally. i think the 3rd ninja cc was just an act of desperation and this will always look silly when its punished
i think the idea behind the late bunker is that because he goes for early reactor hellions, protoss should be scared and stay in his base to defend against any more potential hellions that could come. when those 3 stalkers move out there might come 4 unexpected hellions into his base and he loses to that.
ofcourse it is risky to rely on protoss being scared to move out but it was a risk he felt needed to win the game

BO1 is very different from BO3, only playing 1 MU doesn't always matter if the players have vastly different styles. Cure never struck me as a good TvP player either, just as a guy that got some lucky breaks in his last couple of games. Apart from Super I kind of agree on the mid tier toss part, but its not like Cure was any stronger then them either.

Yeah, he was basically doing a terran equivalent of oracle into fast third base. But helions are not as good for keeping the opponent in your base as an unit like oracle is against terran. Maybe if he waited for 4 helions and got more probe kills it would work but with two helions that just got killed for 4 probes it was actually a terrible situation since protoss knows it is not really a real commitment and he can move out on the map.

I know. I was going off his recent game viewings rather than long term stats. I liked his play in the match up and figured the patch might change a few things in his favor. He destoyed Super roughly a week ago in the playoffs. Then he gets raped by him here tonight, go figure.

Sometimes it is, sometimes it's not. JYP's PvT is still at 46% even though it's not as abysmal as it once was, and Jaedong's ZvP is still at 53% compared to his 62% ZvT and 74% ZvZ... And these are players that I'd rate higher than Cure, and certainly a lot higher in the latter's case.

Super rolled Cure convincingly.
Both PvP series between him and Yonghwa were messy as all hell though. Neither really looked impressive, but Yonghwa fucked up a little less today and so he marches on. Also, Yonghwa had Inca's blessing :p
