Yeh you're probably right, unless all the terrans have secretly been coming up with this build then it probably isn't enough time.
KHAN has a lot of confidence. Playing Hurricane (new pick up who hasn't done a lot recently, Teamleague beast tho), TurN (this is his first game this season) and Stork instead of RorO, Shine and Reality against the team that won Round 1.
Stork is doing well lately, so I'll give them that. My guess is that they're afraid of TY's and Flash's TvZ

erm....I believe you made a horrible mistake. Even if Flash doesn't win by himself, Zest will own and make enough points for KT so Flash will have some for sure.
I don't know who picks maps in proleague but if it's the coaches, I think KT coach did wonder putting his two terrans on maps where blink allin are hard to execute.

Alright, I have a lot of potential to lose points in FPL tonight and basically am hopeing KT wins to make up for it. I think my team choice may have been bad.
TY didn't play this the best he could but Hurricane lost a stalker for nothing, otherwise he could have prevented the low ground bunker from going up. I'd say TY is fine

That was kind of weird, I guess TY capitalized on the weirdness and Hurricane just didn't react as well as he could have. I kind of feel like if he just did 4 gate + oracle all in it should have killed TY though, that game just didn't make sense to me.

He did kill every pulled scv so I wouldn't call it little reward, if he had more gateways TY was never going to win that engagement regardless of how good his micro was.

I am pleased with the sound today. Yesterday I kept hearing static / crackling noise all day and that is gone for me today which makes me happy.

Most zergs figured out the standard immo/sentry all in by 2013, but that's 3 immortals + warp prism, not walk across the map with 2. The 2 immortal zealot only push which is even earlier won a game or two here and there too.

dunno, for some reason Korean Zergs can't do it anymore. In EU tourneys this never works. either it gets stopped early by speedling surrounds or crushed by mass burrowed roaches...

I think the maps also play a big role. Sentry-immortal is pretty map dependent in terms of getting a good position to force field and reinforce. And EU tourneys (at least the live ones) usually do vetoes. So it is likely most of the Zergs will veto maps that are good for immortal sentry.

From the situation solar was in. Nothing. But you don't have to play 3fast hatches, you can go 15h/16g/15p or something like that and then just mass speedlings. If Protoss doesn't build a wall, you should always win.

For one 4-6 zerglings force MSC before stargate. I believe solar scouted the robo so preparing accordingly seems like a good idea instead of just taking a 4th.

Greedy play to delay the bunker because he is expecting the protoss to tech quickly; then 3 gate pressure just walks in and wins.

Sadly, these days I think he is. He was doing really well early on in HotS, but he's sliding down more and more to mediocrity as time goes on. I wouldn't necessarily say he's in a slump (more basing this on his results to Individual leagues like GSL), but he's still a top Korean Terran. I really hope that he can one day dominate SC2 like he did BW.

He went for second reaper and used a scan so he tried to scout much more than you usually see from terrans. He still had no information. It is just the same story as in many other TvP games I have observed, the terran sometimes dies easily to a build that he did not expect.

At their level, preparing against everything that could come means you lose as well because you get too much behind or wont have enough to hold what is actually coming. It is not that simple as you make it.

There is no "blind safe" path against Protoss agression since the different possibilities require different reactions from Terran. Thus you need to know what is coming quick enough to adapt and react.

Build a bunker means nothing with out your bio units at the front, if he had no marines in his mineral lines he dies to oracle. Building only 1 bunker means nothing vs blink stalkers. Building a bunker instead of missile turret means potential loss vs DT's.

Everybody trashed on Zest when he lost twice, everybody trashes on Flash because he loses once. People who bandwagon based on the day / week's performance annoy me.

It's just the build Flash was using doesn't incorporate an early bunker, 3 rax and early ebay. He was expecting tech with all the gas Stork had mined, but stork was doing a gas floating build haha.

yes, but the overlord setup for Zerg is very different. And unless the main has a Cloud Kingdom or Heavy Rain setup that allows you to hide CCs at the back, you can scout it with a sacrficial overlord.

Flash isn't playing very well in individual leagues either. His overall performance is just worse than Zest's.
Flash went 6-2 including 2 ace wins and 0 losses in Round 1. He's fine as an ace pick, one silly loss to Stork doesn't change that.
Actually, this series have been so great I wouldn't mind an hour long map. Man, I hope Flash takes it so he doesn't get too far down into the self-doubt basement of his mind.

Solar had a chance if he did this as soon as he saw Flash go for the kill.
I disliked Flash's decision making in this game. I think it was pretty bad. Still that early eco lead and the better unit composition easily won him the game.

It looked really dim for Solar when Flash was doing his first push. I feel that Solar did pretty well thinking at the situation he was in, I was expecting him to just die there.

True but I feel like it could've been cleaner. Lots of weird moves from his units inside and around his base especially.
Only really bad moves he had was losing some of those thors against lings. But as I said, thors are so slow and clumsy it is kind of hard not to lose them in such scenario... Maybe if he had some helions instead of hellbats to cover his 3 bases faster it would be better but I don't consider that a particularly sloppy game by Flash at all.
And I am not even a Flash fan, it is just a nature of that game. Ling and muta is terrible against hellbats and thors in straight up fight but it is great for doing backstab attacks and buying time.
And we didn't see a long and boring SH game which is always a + in my book.

Incidentally, Solar won against Bogus @ IEM Katowice Qualifier using the same strategy (mutas into mass Roaches) despite completely failing the first attack, so no I would not call him "clueless against mech".
It was a surprise for Solar because mech usually has no timing between mutas and Swarm hosts since the common builds are slower and include dual Armory. But Flash went CC rax CC and single Armory with earlier fact timings to build his attack. To speak a bit crudely, it was basically a 3-bases mech all-in.

Raising the depots would have bought some time, but the wall would have been destroyed 10 seconds later by lings/mutas. But yes he should have kept his troops behind them indeed. Perhaps he tried to unite his army fearing Solar might have made and hidden enough mutas to overwhelm him at one point.

flash does this timing every game he goes mech. Against Roro, against DRG, against Solar... Just go for the right units, I mean, the fact that we even have to talk about a Swarm host transition from mass mutalisk/melee against Mech shows how poorly he played.

If the games by the best players are sloppy that's not cause for concern, rather it means that the best players still can't play perfectly. (which is good to have in a game)
