Sponsored by Sony Online Entertainment, in promotion of their free to play game PlanetSide 2!
Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to announce a friendly, yet serious, showmatch between two marquee players. In this match we bring one of Europe’s favorite Protoss players Grubby, taking on ROOT.Minigun, a top quality Protoss player who has held the #1 & #2 GM spots on NA and won the Twitch Ender's Game on Blu-Ray Tournament. What will happen when these two top Protoss players from Europe and America clash on the battlefield? Tune in to their streams this Friday to find out!
Thank PlanetSide 2 Lastly, please thank PlanetSide 2 and show your support with a message at PlanetSide 2's social media: Facebook and Twitter for making this show match possible!
While these are both players with pretty big fan bases, I would love to know the viewerships between two other equally popular players playing in a non mirror matchup.
These are two of my favorite players, but even that won't entice me to watch a PvP series, unless it's from VODs and I hear specifically that it was supposed to have been amazing.
I really don't get how a massive fps thingy decides to sponsor Starcraft to attract players. I really don't get why any RTS lover would wanna play their game.
Either way I'm grateful for all the money esports can get so thx for organizing this

Uhm, because people can like multiple genres of games?
Very cool to see SOE and Planetside sponsoring Axiom and now even a SC2 showmatch! To best of my knowledge, the Planetside devs are also big fans of SC2 ESPORTS. Will watch this for sure!

I mean, they use a blizzard game to promote their own game without any payment to blizzard..
It's not weird. The NBA (for example) could sponsor an NFL Super Bowl in order to promote the NBA Finals. Something like that won't happen, but it's just an example.
Minigun sucks at PvP compared to his other two matchups (I've watched his stream A LOT), so this was way closer than I thought it'd be tbh. Great series
Grubby hasn't uploaded them to his Youtube channel yet. I will message him and see what he wants to do with the VODs. I also don't see the VODs on Minigun's twitch channel. So
