In each cup 8 seeded players (top 8 of last season) and 8 players from the A-Series will battle for ranking points and prizemoney. After five cups top 8 of the season ranking will advance to the Ro8, played in dual tournament groups of 4.

Me too.
But i know that the Koreans from Alien Invasion, aka Patience and Revenge, will play in the EPS cups.
Yeah, Revenge played last season already. Patience is currently getting Trusted (required to play EPS), so he would at least be allowed to participate also.

Hmm? For what? I did´nt see him doing anything wrong, I expected him and Jjakji to be here for this cup (according to Knowme, Jjakji got into A-series last week as well).

I feel a bit sorry for kaup, but on the other hand, that means, that GoOdy wins, so I´m perfectly fine with it.

Just looked it up on aligulac, kaup really has never beaten GoOdy in a series and is (including todays matches) 3-15 against him. That is actually more onesided than GoOdy vs ClouD.
On March 06 2014 04:35 lantz wrote: Why is this only streaming in German? So random...
Because it is a german tournament with german players on german ground? Not exactly random. If MLG would be streamed german only, that would be random. But EPS with a main stream in german or E-sport SM with a main stream in swedish are not random at all. Besides that, there is also a russian stream.

Thats amazing, we are missing some nice rivalries! :D
Yeah sure, but still everything looks a lot cleaner today than yesterday. Could be that I´m in a better mental condition than yesterday as well though, since twitch has been nice to me that far.
GoOdy is now in the finale of a EPS Cup for the third time in a row! I did lose every finale so far (one vs Hasu and one vs Patience), but this is a pretty good archivment.^^
On March 06 2014 06:11 Aeromi wrote: I thought you have to be in Germany if you wanted to play ESP Germany. Weird.
Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
Patience, Revenge and Golden are in the Alien Invasion team house in Duisburg, Germany. Jjakji and Stardust could play too potentially, Jjakji already plays the A-series so he can participate. (probably next week)
Bringing this back up again, since Cup 4 startet. Patience and Jjakji both not in the bracket, Hasu is surprisingly here though, I thought he would be travelling to Katowice today.
Patience was banned until yesterday and jjakji isnt in the A-series yet. jjakji doesnt have Trusted either. Patience could have played, but I guess he didnt want to? Zeth is behind him in the A-series and is playing.
On March 13 2014 03:23 NovaMB wrote: Patience was banned until yesterday and jjakji isnt in the A-series yet.
According to this link (http://www.esl.eu/de/sc2/1on1/aseries/) Patience is still in front of Zeth and Knowme though, who both play.
I guess he wasnt there or doesnt want to play. No clue. He'll probably make the playoffs regardless
If he plays next week, he should, if he does´nt it can get a bit close again. Hnafy and Showtime should overtake them in that case and then there would be only 2 spots more between him and the cut.
Looks like you have clear roles in Germany this season... GoOdy is impressing me, I wouldn't have thought he would be so consistent after all this time.
Now Hasu, Goody, Marine and Showtime have a guaranteed spot in the groupstage and hence, also re-qualified for Summer Season (means they don't have to play A-Series next season).
Next week's cup will be really interesting. Socke, Patience, Hanfy, even Revenge are still fighting for a top 8 slot.
Regarding jjakji: He still doesn't have Trusted and thus, wasn't promoted to Division 1. Unless he (or his team) is taking care of that tomorrow he will also miss the last cup.
Regarding Patience: His barrage had nothing to do with him not participating today. He simply didn't sign up (for whatever reason).
Ah thanks for these infos. Ai had a match against LYGF yesterday, so maybe that was more important to Patience? (but Hanfy and Revenge played as well, so... no idea if that was the reason.^^)
Last cup is today. The current A-series ranking (determining, who can participate along with the current EPS players (HeroMarine, Hasu, Socke, Showtime, CPU, Hanfy, Delphi, Saltthewound) is: 1. Monty 2. Revenge 3. kaup 4. GoOdy 5. Itwasluck 6. Zeth 7. Knowme 8. Lamboking 9. wurmi 10. Acro 11. pzych0 12. Patience
Things can still change in the last few hours ofc, but this looks to be the list of players, who will maybe compete this evening (first 8 of them, who sign up). Hasu, GoOdy, Heromarine and Showtime are safe for the playoffs, Hanfy and Patience are relatively safe, but the last two spots, currently held by Delphi and kaup are not decided yet, as Socke, Monty, Revenge and Saltthewound are all in reach to grab them with a top-4 placement.
Hoping for Socke to atleast make the final to get into the top8, wouldnt be the same without him. Also hoping that Patience can be knocked out of the top8, but that would need Delphi and kaup in the top 4 and Socke or Monty in the final
Hasu vs Socke possibly again in 2nd round. Now Socke has to bring it, if he wants to advance to the playsoffs. Also there is the possibility for GoOdy vs kaup for the 4th time in the quarterfinal.
Edit: Delphi 2-1 Revenge; Revenge is out of the playoffs, Delphi goes to 65 points

You're one of the admins, right? Do you know/are you allowed to tell us, whether the groups are 1/4/5/8 and 2/3/6/7 or 1/4/6/7 and 2/3/5/8?
Players are divided into 3 pools, based on the season ranking. Then it's a simple drawing where rank #1 and #2 have the possibility to veto their first group opponent.
Rank 1 and 2 -> Pool #1 Rank 3 and 4 -> Pool #2 Rank 5 to 8 -> Pool #3

Ah,ok that makes sence as well. Are you doing the drawing today after the cup?

Praise the general! I hope he advances
Yep, he could make a nice step in the earnings rankings as well today, depending on the exchange rate at EPS finish: Jinro is 718 dollars ahead of him at the moment, Demuslim 792. Getting ahead of both of them would put him into the top 10 foreign terrans in that regard.
Hey guys, would like to keep people updated for the English stream.
Initially I had planned to do it, however due to one or two issues (i'm in a lot of pain, our studio isn't available) - thus we're trying to find an alternate plan for the English stream for the finals today.

I have no idea how that is going to work. If he is lucky, he will have some long games vs Hanfy now, and than HeroMarine and patience play some lategames...^^

Well, at the last EPS finals he looked good vs Hasu and Socke, and if you look at that grap (http://aligulac.com/players/258-HeRoMaRinE/, it was his best matchup for some time.
I feel that Patience will smash him 3-0, although i hope that HeroMarine can take some maps.
This Protoss all ins are stupid. Only stupid. One Base Proxy SG. Nothing happens. After that. One Base Blink all in. No Problem.....WTF.....(i am Protoss)
sick finals hanfy vs showtime was great heromarine vs patience was even better and closer and the pvp finals was not one of the onesided short pvp finals but really great games and a nailbiter ending
