Yes, good, more than good actually. If you can't see the skill involved in a game like SK vs parting today, then obviously nothing is going to convince you. Also, if defensive swarm hosts were that great at the top level, we'd be seeing it a lot more in KR than we are doing at the moment.

Nah that tauriel-chick and most of the Hobbit movie is just made up. Glorfindel would have done what Arwen did but way more bad-ass and also giving them reason to explain to the viewer how the "other realm"-thing when Frodo puts on the ring works and such. But hey, MUTAS ALL OVER!
