I'm going to take a shot at explaining the whole RorO winning "Best Zerg" award. Now bear in mind, I'm not a GOMTV/GOMeXP official or anything so what I say might be 100% incorrect. But I think I have enough evidence to support my statement.
So let's look at the 2012 GSL Tour Awards: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_GSL_Blizzard_Cup#2012_GSL_Tour_Awards As you can see, Sniper won this award in 2012. He won this award because he was the last GSL winner for 2012 in that ZvZ finals over HyuN.
In 2011, http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2011_GSL_Blizzard_Cup#2011_GSL_Tour_Awards NesTea won this award because he was the ONLY Zerg player to have won a GSL that year.
So now let's look at 2013: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GOMTV_Global_StarCraft_II_League#GSL_Events
If you look at the very first tournament for 2013, that tournament was still called "GSL." Therefore, RorO was rightfully a "GSL" winner. However, Soulkey's victory was considered a "WCS Korea" victory, so I don't think GSL felt that Soulkey's victory was rightfully a GSL victory. Therefore, I think GOM gave RorO this award by default, because the only legitimate "GSL" was done in the beginning of 2013.
If you think about it, it makes sense. RorO didn't recieve ANY WCS points for his 1st place finish in the 2013 GSL Season 1.
So yeah, that's my take on the situation.

I'm not sure how you say that you could argue Jaedong and then dismiss Life in pretty much the same breath Life got 3-0ed by Scarlett. One match doesn't mean a whole lot.
To be frank, Life has looked quite underwhelming this year compared to the standard he set for himself last year. I'd say he is definitely a top zerg but I'd rank him 3rd at best this year.

Anyway Sun was brilliant. That's true, but I feel that delaying and then forcing the cancel on Rain's third had really given a strong advantage to Soulkey.

Among all the stupid arguments people bring out to discredit various players, this one is probably the worst.

Sounds like something GOM would actually do, so I guess you could be right. Noone should take this too seriously, we all know how to make up our own mind

Regardless one series doesn't mean that much. When it comes to talent no zerg has as much as life.

It's obviously very subjective. I rate Life a bit higher than Jaedong, but I might be wrong and thinking otherwise obviously is fine. But saying Life is "nowhere close" I just can't agree with!
