Yes but they are in booths.

I don't know why you think placing it here is going to help. If you think Grubby is cheating and hearing to much you as a pro player should contact IEM instead of insinuating things on a forum.
Because it's more fun to cause random drama on TL. Same reason he balance whines when he loses.

C'mon duckdeok! Gogogo. :D

Didn't the staff test it out before the game? At least this guy had his headphones on while casters talked etc. I'm pretty sure they'd know if it wasnt soundproof enough.

Let's not make controversy where none exists.

Surely he can hear a little too much Surely they tested it beforehand? (And looked at the specs). I think you might come with better proof before accusing Grubby of cheating... (And yes, that is accusing him of cheating. If he would have said something like: "Do they dampen sound as good as the official headphones?", then it would have been fine. But saying he surely can hear too much is pointless accusation).
I actually used to own that headset (Sennheiser something if I recognize it correctly) and they cancel noise very well. I actually got different ones because I couldn't hear it when people came into my room and started talking to me I also have some noice cancelling headphones (for shooting) and while I never compared them directly, I don't think that they filtered out much more noise.

I don't get why pros don't always scout for hidden bases when they get ahead.

If Grubby cancels, he has an extra 300 minerals to defend with and that fight was really close. Not losing the natural would've given Grubby just as big a lead economically as the hidden 3rd.
Really I would have probably done exactly this in this situation, simply because I had no way to defend my natural in either case, so would have sacked it and tried to hold the ramp, hoping the opponent would concentrate on my harassment and the contain on the ramp.
Sigh I wish Red City would have been played more, it was such a nice map for Protoss.

Really Grubby, two games in a row lost pretty much due to suiciding your MsC, and what do you do the next game? You leave behind your MsC right when your army retreats for no reason I can think of. I don't see how 3 zealots would have changed that fight significantly.
Actually in my opinion he shouldn't have built it at all since he was already 2 bases vs 1. Also yes. 4 zealots can make the difference in engagements of ~50 army supply per side. Well, after all that expansion was probably a better choice, but if only duckdeok checked it it would have been game over, so it was very risky.

Finale 4gate him for the most anticlimatic ending to the series and funniest LR answers here.

I have no clue, just explaining how it's not accusing Grubby of something, but criticizing ESL.

The point is even if the heapdhones cancelling is alright, everybody should have the same conditions to play so when everybody is using headphones provided by tournament organizers(not only here but everywhere) Grubby should as well. Especially since the "ESL" headphones are really uncomfortable
|
People seem to forget this is ESL, who have been running successful tournaments for years before SC2 even came out... does anyone here really think they'd not account for that possibility before okay-ing Grubby and letting him play? -_-

Stargate for Finale we're safe from the worst possible ending to the series.

Sentry first, very thorough proxy scout, Grubby is nervous.
