Ok, the finals are on now. Stop derailing with complaints about WCS region system! - Begin page 109 |
I didn't think that was possible. Did duckdeok engage too much at the ramp? Seems like he could have kited pretty much forever.

And the casters thought the expansion was a missinvestment ;-)

Now you call me a fanboy? Jesus you're bad at debating, or whatever you call it. Sun was an A teamer in Proleague for a long time too you know. Plus, you know, he was winning titles one year ago... Exactly. It's hard to bring a decent argument when you don't know what you're talking about.... "oh but Maru is so young etc etc" yeah while Maru was busy struggling to survive in Code S ro32, FlaSh and Life were winning the most prestigious championships when they were his age. I think it is fairly undisputed that Rain was the favorite. He won the previous OSL, has had more success in WCS/GSL than Maru (despite the shorter tenure) and provided constant results throughout Proleague which was the hardest competition in SC2. I believe he finished second in wins behind Flash? or maybe third behind Innovation as well. I was rooting for Maru, but I knew he was the underdog. Yeah. Like maybe pigmanbear got too eager in his fanboyness and misunderstood. Maru's achievement this season of OSL is absolutely incredible and praise-worthy. But let's not pretend he was some god-tier Terran all along... I agree, at least partly. Maru had the potential to be a god-tier Terran all along, but he's been struggling with consistency since forever. If you watch some of his older games, you'll find one game or one play among many where he just goes two levels up for no apparent reason. I'm hesitant to call it nerves, but the ability was always there. He just managed to finally get it together this season. I know this is very close to splitting hairs, but one needs to know this before saying Maru suddenly became good out of nowhere. But that's pretty much every Korean for the past 2 years ever (since the terrible ones started falling out of GSL in 2011). Most of them have the potential to be the best. That's why we have so many GSL/WCS KR champions and also so many players that make it very far but never quite win. Like I agree, but you can argue for pretty much every top player of recent times that he has and has had the potential to be god-tier. You can white-wash it all you want but talents like Leenock, Maru, and Taeja are a world apart from guys like San. But are they a world apart from guys like Curious, aLive, Creator, GuMiHo etc? All of them have shown tremendous potential, but not all of them have translated that into the same kind of success. There's a lot more talent than you seem to think. Yes, apart from Alive maybe. Alive has been much better than Creator in HotS.

It was clear if Grubby can defend, Duckdeok is gonna lose. Zealots did so much dmg on the expansion.

grubby pulling ahead 5 mins after idra would have left

You lose your MSC, then you don't have Archons to break forcefields, then you morph Archons in front of Duckduck's army, but since you went for a third at the worst time, if you win the fight, you win the game apparently?
Phew. Thought Grubby was doing a fantasy gg timing but then he takes the win, gg :D
WHO SAID PvP WAS BORING..................WHO????
Duckdeok is like "lets micro against the nexus on the lowground" and gives Grubby enough time to re-compose his army and get enough units. Did cost him the game so badly. GOGO Grubby!! For Europe! :D
Why do people now say "throw" everytime a player loses? Players have leads, players lose leads....that is the way the game works. Grubby still had mining, while duckdeok didn't.
My favorite game of throws
you've gotta be kidding me
so yeah the 3rd base wasn't needed right ? But who would think about a 3rd of the opponent in this situation.
Grubby my heart what are you doing plz win

Leenock, Maru et al stand out because they could do things that made your jaw drop.
