To be honest, even Symbol always said HyuN was the best of them.

Thanks for sticking with us, guys. It's been one of the hardest shows I've had to run and it wasn't devoid of problems, but such is China.
I promise you guys a much better New York City event!
[edit Unkind of me to forget Nathanias who has really helped out GREATLY by covering the games we lost due to a lack of power and good internet on the broadcast side.

Any news on when we will be able to buy tickets, or where the venue will be? Thanks!!

You should've had Nathanias casting with ToD at your event instead than the Aussie guy. He was decent but not up to the challenge when it came to meeting the IEM golden standard of excellent casting / hosting. This last day was just brutal when before I kinda just tuned him out and didn't really listen much to what he said. But today you heard every word cause his voice was so shot from screaming at every single thing that happened in the games. Not just that but he made so many bad judgements and said so many just blissfully unaware moments during the casts that I was getting annoyed towards the end of the ro4.
Grats Revival~!!! You owned it this weekend. Revival champion caliber player for a long time now, and just now starting to rank up there. Taking 2nd at WCS AM s1 and now the Gold here. Congrats you deserve it!!!
On another note, great amazing games as usual at an IEM..... shame it wasn't in the finals tho. Polt vs Hyun, MC vs alive, HerO vs Hyun.... and then HerO got unlucky in his worst matchup (cause its the most based on luck) and then made some not so perfect decision making in the final game that you tend to only see him make in ace match situations. If he's just starting a match or is ahead HerO plays with stunning confidence and bold decisions that either win him games or lose them.... usually winning when he backs up his aggression with solid defense. But that 5th game we just didn't see that kind of play... I'm pretty sure he kill a bunch of probes on Starstation, but then didn't push before archons could be out with his immortal sentry and couldn't trade efficiently with zealots vs archons, nor did he snipe the third and recall out there..... Or if he couldn't he shoulda waited.
He waited that long ALREADY and shoulda scouted archons with phoenix (he did I'm sure) before battle which would make pushing immediately not as important since he already lost all purpose for sentries... right there he shoulda stopped and said "Wait 20 seconds (or maybe less) for mommacore to get recall energy then pull him to left with proxy warp in then I'll come in from the right and use my 6 or 7 fuckin immortals and blast that nexus to dust quick enough to recall out with minimal losses."
Or if he had continuously made a forcefield a wall around his Immortals from Oz's zealots over and over while O'z archons engage HerO's zealots...... Then those immortals wouldn't have gotten nearly as torn apart as they did even if Oz moves in with archons to break the ff thats why you start the fight as far away from the archons so the chargelots have to charge far in. Then soon as they charge you throw up FF and bring in your zealots from the side so they dont get blocked by your own FF. The Archons can either engage zealots and kill them easily but still taking them way more time than if not. Or Oz's Archons would have moved in to break the FF wall and meanwhile your zealots are just swiping away getting a full surround at this point and you can re-FF it up.
Can't wait for NYC I'll SEE YOU THERE SUCKA'S!!!!! Hope to see Apollo, ToD, Nathanias and Kaelaris in person!!! As well as HerO and all my favorite NA players and hell I wanna see everyone even the ones I hate right now for ruining our finals by getting lucky like Oz. Even tho his casting can sometimes be tediously long winded I wouldn't mind seeing Incontrol either. He's a terrific host for events like Dreamhack and his casting is usually more good than it is bad.

anyone with a brain knows that just by who entered the tourney the final four was guaranteed to be 2 zerg 2 protoss or 3 protoss 1 zerg. It just so happened that hero stomped hyun.

i don't think anyone will ever just realize that the races for the most part are.... ACTUALLY BALANCED OMG WTF report to blizzard

Wow, it ended up to be the final which i hoped the least for. Well, at least it wasn't a PvP i guess. Or were the games bad anyway? Since it was 4:0... ^^

I also really expected Grubby to play better. Did really well and showed terrific games vs Loner and Courage going 2-0 against both the Chinese players. Yet DRG and OZ are good but I'd say Grubby is right around their level and can definitely take matches off either of them. Sometimes it just don't go your way tho....
on that note......
PLEASE COME TO NYC GRUBBY~!!!!!

Games awful. 1 game OZ played decent with Phoenix.... then he blew his entire lead by not getting storm and just donating all his phoenix then watching as Revival made a MUTA SWITCH against double stargate..... lmao.. was actually pretty brilliant by him. He did that knowing that the game had progressed so long and he wasn't seeing an increasing number in the phoenix count so he knew voids or tempest were being made. Really genius decision making by Revival. Really showing why he reached that championship walkover match.

Thanks for having me again IEM! Look forward to the next event! ^^

Congratulations to Revival, Oz and Evil Geniuses!

Besides all the shitty things... iem did its best. Maybe first do sc2 and then LOL.. its sad that qxc and hero were so devasted by their losses. Anyways... it was worth my 300 rmb (40 euro) of my money. Didnt see the whole event chinajoy except iem if course.
Next stop... wcg eu
@carmac you kept your promise.. the first 2 days were shitty Bc if lol.... the third day was worth it and fourth day was a bit short though... but good enough!

I still wonder if Hyun didn't lose vs Polt in one of the most heartbreaking nail-biting series going from 1-0 to 1-2, if he couldn't have stopped Revival. Both of them have good ZvZ, but Hyun's a little better. Anyway, congrats Revival, great tournament.
