Posts like these make me wish TL had a like button.
Pigbaby only played one game so far I think on spl, was pretty funny too. Beat zest pvp, (zest has good pvp) with both going dt rushes, but pigbaby had a quicker robo so he won and defended
For Team 8, it's pretty simple. Their magical elimination, along with EG-TL, is roughly one. If they lose a game or SKT win a single game remaining, then the best they could do is tie, and with how lopsided their map score is compared to SKT, they would pretty much need to go 4-0 throughout the rest of the season and SKT to go 0-4 (with a 4-3 win thrown in) to even have a hail mary's chance of making it. So, realistically, only way they're getting in is they go 6-0 and SKT follows with six straight losses. A loss and they're dead.
Samsung are almost completely as screwed as T8. Sitting in fifth, they have a terrible map ratio of -20, so they'll need to beat SKT by a win to make it to the playoffs more than likely. Three games back of taking the 4th spot, they have six games remaining and probably will have to go no less than 5-1 to have any shot of making the final four, barring a major collapse from STX or SKT. If they lose to T8, then they will be pretty much also out, not counting if SKT or STX somehow go 1-5/0-6 in their last six games and Samsung wins five in a row unexpectedly.
This looks surprisingly winnable for T8! (Or maybe that's just the recent 4-0 Woongjin talking)
TY is on a roll. Terminator is coming off of a victory against Light, while Stork has fallen in the TBLS race to fourth behind even Bisu. Argo and JangBi are both in okay shape. Savage has strung together recent wins to indicate his progress. Things might end before it gets to RorO!
Oh yeah Cure whoops. He just beat Soulkey, while Turn has beaten Innovation

Team 8, CJ, EG-TL and Khan won't make the cut I'm afraid.

the current top four would probably be the best. you got skt/kt and you have innovation/soulkey/sos who have been getting all the attention recently. good to create new stars.

If two teams have the same record, is map score the tie breaker over head-to-head? I'd assume it is, but I hope it's not for the sake of having a better league format.
That was a fun little game. A lot of little harassment, with Ty getting quite a bit more scvs killed, but in exchange Reality got a viking advantage due to sacrificing less medis and focused on getting that quick +2 mech atk into timing attack. Just very sharp execution by Reality. I'm not sure what Ty's plan was in that game other than "kill SCVs." He was behind in pretty much every other metric.
I'm glad the commentators kept noting the upgrades were in Reality's favor, but it irks me sometimes when they focus too much on the play-by-play like medi drops instead of the bigger overall picture like Ty was severely outnumbered in tanks and he had a very poor army composition for defense.

Edit: I have to say though, the changes to toss in HotS have made them an even more boring race to watch. That time slow bubble thing is so lolsy. It's literally just like lolol no need to micro anymore! They're all covered in molasses!
Tempests are very boring as well. They're just super long range DPS. Extremely straightforward to use, not very agile to micro with. They're just straight up air colossi.
Oracle is the only interesting unit, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the excitement of reaver/shuttle micro back in the day.
Just bleh. I'm having more fun watching the ZvTs by far.

I don't know much about BW history, though I can't believe Stork has had worse slump's than this. I don't even remember the last time he won in proleague.
I do agree that protoss expansion units are incredibly dull, even the oracle basically rewards you for suiciding it into the mineral lines with the way it's attack spell works.
"Like Reaver drops in BW" ? Not really, because Reavers also had the "ooooohhh ... where is the missile going to fly to and when will it explode" excitement.

Fucking hellbats...No I'm just doing 10 push-ups each time KHAN loses a game. I'm off and on with my physical fitness, thus why I'm struggling after 15+ push-ups.

Speaking from a fan's perspective, it's pretty painful to see Stork go through this. Not even Jaedong or Bisu went through this slump in SC2. An added insult to injury is Jangbi's meteoric rise this season. Why has Stork not mirrored his co-dragon's success? Honestly, an argument could be made that BW Jangbi eventually exceeded his elder dragon brother, and that it was a sign for Stork to retire.
Seeing him like this is very painful because Stork has the most beautiful small-unit micro in BW (only matched by Dongalisks). His shuttle-reaver play was sublime. Now in SC2, he's barely noticeable, apart from his horrendous record

Stork? Probably not so much.
He could cast even more blanket storms! Although his storms in BW were far more impressive.
I think Jangbi's simply young enough to unlearn certain habits that were instilled during BW, as compared to Stork.

Jangbi is less than a month younger than Stork.

Well, he's against PIGBABY of all players, so you'd want him to lose now.

The ideal outcome would be if they could somehow both lose so RorO gets to play an ace match and lose again

Ye he is progamer since 2004, that is almost 10 years.
What the F is going on with Proleague lately? The last few matches have brought us Rain, King of PvProleague, losing all his PvP's, the Expendables aka Oz/JD/JYP > Rain/Parting and co., T8 all-killing Woongjin, T8 and EG-TL winning back-to-back matches, and now motherfuckin Pigbaby > a GSL champion. Madness.

I think it's actually the reason. As a progamer you can't be good if you don't enjoy the game that much.

Honestly even if I would hate it(the notion of Stork playing in amateur league without KHAN banner etc) on the other side i would love it, to see Stork play BW again i miss his reaver/shuttle and carrier games. Even in 2012 (supposdly a twilight of his career) in his game vs Flash he showed strong play, then made the scout, well he lost, but it was watching Stork having "fun" in the game.
Seeing stork play SC2 is really sad, not only because he loses but because its so souless.

They're still ahead of T8 and EGTL, who have a miniscule chance of making the playoffs. They, like the teams below, would need a miracle...but it's possible.
Ok, was surprised that Pigbaby, a player I've never heard of before, could take out Roro, a Z that I have quite the respect for. The game is just an unluckily late scouted immortal all-in (the ovie scouted the whole base except the little nudge where the robo with the immos was hidden) combined with a badly handled base trade (Roro should have evacuated a drone or so and camp at the bottom of his own ramp to take the final engagement there, that way he would have had a chance, albeit a very small one). So, Pigbaby just a well trained sniper, not legit I'm always hoping for more complete, legit Protosses, instead of the gimmicky ones that are so prevalent right now (SoS best P right now? yikes; I want more Rains, less SoSes).
Classic Pro league: As soon as the worst team cannot advance anymore, they get some sort of slower car boost and become the gatekeeper that decides who goes to the playoffs and who doesn´t. I love it.

Protoss will forever be known as the gimmicky/cheesy race. The best Protoss player pulls off cheeses and gimmicks the best (MC, Parting, SoS).
