You just have to read an official strategy guide to realise Blizzard have nfi how their units should be used

It's still 'official', endorsed by Blizzard and sold on their website. They probably outsourced it because the ones with earlier games were so freaking bad.

Congrats you're good at googling and I said probably. Sorry for not having a knowledge of who made a strategy guide 10+ years ago. It was still a terrible guide endorsed by Blizzard because they have nfi/dont care. No need to be such a pedant to the original offhand comment that didn't actually state that Blizzard wrote the guides. None of this matters anyway but you're determined to nitpick every second post I do these days because I disagreed with your baiter crusade.
I actually think these swarm host plays are exciting, but a lot of people are very hateful about it. I think the main problem is still protoss death balling, not the swarm host per se.

I hope that you are sarcastic, really.
As a toss I enjoyed how agressively sOs expanded, his DT defence of the swarmhosts, nydus defence etc. Seemed to be a clinic on how to deal with SH play. I liked how active he was with zealot harrass (part of why he was up on bases), the templar control and the way his death ball changed its composition several times before winning with archon zealot.
i feel SNM is so passive aggressive in a combative way.... not good for casting
in a pregame talk, SNM says woongjin stars team used to be based in Yi-Tae-Yun (sp?) After game begins, Whiplash jokes "where is free from?" SNM says "I don't know" Whiplash jokes "From Yi-Tae-Yun, is the right answer" SNM goes off angrily trying to feign his knowledge ending with "Are you satisfied!" Instead, he could have simply admitted "Haha, you are right Whiplash"
edit #2: I don't mean to say that SNM shouldn't disagree with WHiplash. Disagree with analysis, relevant facts, etc. And if you don't like a joke, you can say "Dude that was a bad joke"... I just feel being passive aggressive is not the best way to deal with it........ although i shouldn't be too harsh on them I guess, 'cause they are probably really tired from casting from like 7 straight hours.
Mostly it's just like a discussion, talking about what they think is possible. It's just the choice of wording that might make it sound more 'combative', as you say, in the case of Whiplash and SNM, compared to maybe Artosis and Tasteless.
YourHarry, I don't think you correctly differentiate between actual anger and just people giving an "Oh, you're just being difficult now! XD" look or tone of voice ... Also, he said "From Aiur, is the right answer".

Well, I don't see Woojing losing this to be honest. Of course that it can happen, but if Light now lose, Soulkey shouldn't have trouble with Bbyong, and if it gets to the Ace, it will probably be Soulkey against Cj.herO, where Soulkey got the advantage.

Soulkey is my team captain, so I hope Light loses, then Soulkey wins both his match plus the ace.

yes, but if light loses and soulkey wins, then there is an ace match (3-3), which allows teams to send out any player. it might have soulkey playing against herO or someone.

Anyone know why the break in between each of these matches is usually ~15 minutes? I'd like to know what they are doing to prepare the next players. Is it just procedure to double and triple check the setting/etc? Or is it purely for advertisements and what not.

PL is broadcast on TV in Korea. That time is spent showing ads.

hmm ace win +3, game loss -1 instead of +2? so ace win is +2 total, game win now is +2 total (not including appearance and win of the match for team). So no difference i think

nah he would indeed get more: game win +2, team win +1, lineup +1 = 4 in total. lineup +1, team win +1, game loss -1, ace appearance +1, ace win +3 = 5 in total.

It has probably been a great FPL day for tons of people. I guess Soulkey is one of the most picked players considering his GSL performance and his relatively low price. The same applies to sOs. And zero costing "only" 4 points and being more or less guaranteed regular on the strongest team is probably on tons of main teams, too
I think there are slightly too many Korean teams still. For instance, if NsH would disband then Jjakji would be a good pick-up and potential A-teamer for several proleague teams. As good as some KeSPA players are, we still have many subpar players make it to the proleague line-up and I just feel like it could use a higher density of amazing players.

I would just love to see a merger of GSTL and PL, or basically increase the PL to 10 teams or so and let the rest of the GSTL teams be disbanded and the good members be absorbed by existing PL teams.
Players like leenock, life etc. should be playing in PL. It's too bad the WCS structure makes it pretty difficult for players competing in NA/EU to also compete in PL. If I was life i'd definately be trying to get into PL, plenty of teams should want him. KT or SKT can definately need a good zerg.

Down the line, the most likely teams to survive are IM, ST and maybe MVP or FXO. Prime and NSH will get absorbed. Azubu is a big question mark since we know little about the organization. Axiom-Acer look solid and might last a while as well.
A unified team league would definitely be awesome.

I only count maybe 2 subpar players in this matchup (Songduri and Bong). I'd hardly call that 'many'

Yeah, it's the natural response to the knowledge that they have mines, isn't it? Potentially trade only minerals in order to check for mines and hopefully trigger as many of them as possible before charging in. Plus, you may see a bit of army as the zerglings/roaches die, so you can check for exact positioning as you try to trigger mines. Furthermore, if you're lucky, mines will trigger on zerglings that run into their army and damage the terran.
If you have a GSL pass, I suggest you watch those TRUE vs FanTaSy games from the Round of 32. They were cast in April, I think.

One sponsor isn't always enough to sustain a team I bet though. TSL had TheHandsomeNerd but they still collapsed. Also even if they don't collapse they'll likely drift into mediocrity, with or without jjakji. They have 0 players in the GSL atm, I don't think they can stay in the esF even much longer.

It depends on how much the team spends. A lot of teams (I believe TSL included) have to pay rent for a teamhouse, which is a hefty sum. But I heard NSH gets a practice room from the school, so there goes a huge part of the costs. NSH doesn't send its players abroad on its own time either, so travel isn't an issue. And I doubt most of the team gets a sizable, if any salary, so that's another thing.

NSH isn't going to disband, they're going to be the ACE of eSF
They're sponsored by a school, unless there's a major catastrophe the sponsor will live forever~
I mean yeah but at that point the whole thing is a glorified clan. None of their players are doing well resultswise, and they have no space to go out and make a name for themselves at foreign events. Like I said they may not close up shop officially, but they are very quickly becoming irrelevant.
