Blizzard should take control over the world cup and every other sport the US is lagging behind in. Kids hating on America today, but their best players are future Americans. Jokes on them.

The big potential of WCS AM are the casual viewers (not the people on TL). You can't tap those viewers if you have 0 advertisements and announcements outside of TL and Reddit. I am getting the impression that Blizzard sees the Ro32 as an extended qualifier to the real event, the Ro16.

Timezone also matters. This games were live at 01 am on most parts of europe. Time to sleep.

It seemed a lot of people didn't even know NA was starting today, I'm sure the numbers will go up but I think EU will always have more with the time being easier for NA to watch.

Actually it started at 02 am CET. I watched the first 2 series but then I had to get some sleep.

Btw I really liked the player introduction graphics before every match. That was very much needed indeed and I cant believe it took almost 3 years to finally have that in a foreign tournament.

Well done by Snute taking out the USA champion and NA runner-up ViBE. My eyes got tired so I tapped out in the second series. Seems like I missed a good one between StC and Snute and a terribad USA mirror. Terribads can be fun too.

They have a nice studio with Axslav and Axeltoss at the desk. The stream is alright but the UI (is that what it is called) is outdated. If you are not getting commercials you get to see the NY skyline.

Why don't you watch the VOD's on Twitch?

I think they did a great job, was fun to watch.

It airs on a ungodly time for Europeans but that can't be helped i guess, so i have to live with VOD's when i'm on normal sleep schedule.

Well, that really depends. KR is unwatchable for people at work or school in Europe // EU is probably unwatchable in AM for the same reason. Anyways, every region should broadcast at a time that works for that region. That seems pretty normal to me.

Yeah, this is how it goes about amount of viewers

Primetime > Work/school > Sleeping time

The WCS America won't get that high because i doubt many koreans really watch it anyways, so they are left with EU/Americas viewers, and the timezone is not something they can work around with since they can't share the same space of time than WCS EU. I may be wrong tho, but i don't see those numbers getting that high except for weekend events.
