Because silly Polt fanboys. Wasn't it like more than just Fionn who wrote polt as the favorite? I dunno if that was cuz of fanboyism, at least not for the others.
Eight writers voted. Six had Polt as #1. One had Hero. One had Gumiho.
I am glad everyone is Captain Hindsight currently. Polt was heading into the tournament having wrecked Hero and Creator in HotS and only really losing to Life, the best player in the world, in a close 3-2 series that could have gone either way.

Basically a bunch of totally clueless types decided there was more chance of a guy who plays on NA server and has won one LAN event in his entire career (a B class one too in Assembly) winning over a guy who's won two MLG's, an IPL and made another MLG final and is currently training full time in a Korean teamhouse. Not that I disagree with you, but you get a real kick from provoking people don't you?

Excellent day 1. So much drama. Coin flip and Polt out are the biggest headlines for me.

Best thing about that is in the Ro16 interviews and according to Choya, he feels comfortable playing "any zerg." His group is full of zergs, lets hope he doesn't flop next week. =\

Holy shit who would've thought that? I don't understand why people thought he would do good in the first place. He is in the states and more or less without a team, right? Mostly because he had a really close series against Life at MLG. The Polt vs Life games were a lot closer than the Life vs Flash games imo Nah dude, it's because of this:
In the history of Starcraft 2, there has not been a single player who has changed his public perception more than Polt. If you have just got into the scene or have only been following SC2 for the past year and a half or so, you know Polt as one of the most likable, loved and respected players in the entire community.

So... only 2 terrans are through to round of 16 Kas and gumiho (strelok still has a chance to join them).

No, dammit. I tuned in to watch Nani lose.

I really think Leenock has the best results of anyone in this tournament by quite a bit. But I'm a humungous Leenock fanboy.

I dont want to see any of that in sc2 ever! I dont care what formula 1 does. Oh, you still see it all the time. It's just not said out loud. (which is stupid)
