It seems like Nony just didn't really know how to play against mech. While I certainly don't play anywhere near as well as mario with mech, the push is pretty similar, and my mid master toss opponents seem to counter way better than that... Why colossi vs so many tanks? :/ chargelot + 5+ immos normally slaughter me :/

NonY wasn't prepared at all against that. Obviously he must not have much practice against mech, but I think he made weird general mistakes. Like, colossus+stalkers is not the way.

Stalkers are awesome vs terran mech: for blink stalker harrasment. But they don't have much of a role in your main army.

How about you leave the management of EG to...well Alex Garfield. Incontrol is still very good and got pretty far in the qualifiers and was knocked down to the losers bracket by a Korean pro. Getting beaten out by a series of hellbat drops is not a bad way to go out.

Well, your opinion matters about as much as everyone else. Which is to say, very little. Alex Garfield will let Incontrol know when he isn't doing well enough, but right now I think he is fine. He ripped through the winners bracket until top and he got beaten out by a very aggressive player who might be pretty talented.
