Heromarine had some weird army control, running down a huge choke point cost him a lot of supply repeatedly. GG WP from Tefel though.

Yes but there are possible ties and only 4 teams per group. The most teams/players there are, the most the regularity should be rewarded and not a random match among five.

heromarine should have just went for a 2 base timing after cc first... tefel was just too greedy on fast 4 base and with fast 3 base marine was too late to punish it...

well with mapscore its also that "random" map win of andypandy (no disrespect!) vs Babyknight which makes all the difference (else both BabyK and ForGG are +2) - do you really think 1 map loss against a player who went 0-5 is a better indicator of skill than winning vs the guy you are tied with in series?

we also have to consider that some matchups are more volatile than others so dropping 1 map is more likely for some races. There has been some analysis a year or so ago which showed that Terrans had a way lower chance to lose vs weaker players in all 3 matchups than P and Z had, with PvP being the most volatile matchup.

A few updates from the website:
Crank 2:0 Kaldi
Ret 2:0 jamesykins
Ziktomini 2:1 NightEnD

This means, we have a possible 3-way-tie in group D, with Ziktomi, Krass and NightEnD involved.

Dumb question as I was not really active in SCII the last few weeks, why do the overlords look differently?

Wow, it is rare that H2H score is more important than map score in a tournament...don't like it

The word "random" was not the correct one. What I wanted to say is that every single match should count the same way, except if there is an exact tie. For me, it's the principle of a pool which is different from a bracket.

But, well, it's over now. But all the major tournaments with pools use mapscore over H2H. It's weird to see that now.

Roaches into infestors into swarm hosts?
I have a feeling that those compositions wouldn't work against a good Korean terran.

Krass doesn't make it because he lost the deciding map to a 10/10 2-gate. T_T
