Barcodes, really? Anyway, does any of the grand finals universities have any notable players?

I believe the American universities have some pretty known players.

The Terran barcode is NosSave - easily lower korean progamer tier.

I have a script that automates making these text lineups from the csl website. I HATE barcodes because for whatever reason, it screws up the lineup formatting and I end up typing it all manually. Haven't found time to fix it

I wish I knew who the barcodes are... personally really considering banning barcode names for a number of reasons.

I just want to point out that this series was played on the KR server with everyone on our team, except Savior who was in Japan, having 400+ms ping. While Korea definitely was the favourite and probably would have won regardless, it was incredibly disappointing to be served a death sentence of unplayable ping despite our many complaints about it. Ultimately all we wanted was a fair shot at the tournament favourites, and we were denied that.

Why would they not provide an alternative to all games on korea for the Asia finals?

An aside; I thought Auckland played well on the whole. The Terrans on Chunnam were really scary.

Plexa, what made you commit to the proxy 2 gate if you dont mind?

Here's what we were told:
- If Korea agrees to playing on a different server that is okay (Obviously they wouldn't do so, its a $0 payout for the loser and a $5k minimum for the winner. Very dumb to put a team in a position like this.)
- You should have brought the issue up sooner than we did.

The second point might be valid but:
- We brought it up the moment we reached the finals and learned that the games were on KR
- We brought it up again on the day when ping was horrible (sometimes Korean can be nice, that day it wasn't)
- Not knowing if our team would even make the finals, we didn't bring it up at the start of the season nor did we even worry about it until we were closer to the date
- We had a few rule changes and some rules were poorly enforced during the season so it was difficult to take the "finals played on korea" seriously until closer to the date

There was no way I was going to win a straight up game in those conditions. Cloud Kingdom is notoriously good for blink, and you cannot blink micro with 400ms ping. That build should beat anyone who doesn't scout in that location. After checking reps and whatnot, I discovered that my opponent never checks that location nor does anyone else on their team. Hell, no one checks that location because no one ever proxies there. However, I suspect that since Korea knew there were latency issues the players played with that in mind and part of that is checking everywhere for proxies on Cloud. He was right to do so and after that it was gg.

Fair enough. Thanks for the insight, and well played to the team.
