Just theorycrafting. If stork made an archon from those 2 DTs, and attacked his own stalker every time DT blur comes close, then he could have killed Stats with insane micro, I believe.

Stat's DT saw the stalkers and started zoning them so he had to go in, and when he sent in the DTs after the blink, Stat's probe and other DT blocked Stork's DTs from entering while his last DT and cannon was attacking the stalkers.

It only works when the PvP meta shifts to non-aggressive fast tech builds, because people don't generally scout. When the meta is full of 3 stalker rushes and 3gate pressures then cannon rushes don't work because everyone scouts. Well planned build.

What's sad about the ace match was that when Roro went 10pool, my first thought was that it was likely going to work. And then when Roro got Flash to rebuild his CC on the high ground, I also thought Flash would likely build a 3rd CC. I haven't seen Flash this predictable since his the 2008-2009ish era when he was 14CCing every other game.

Not really. 7 of their 8 wins have been 4-3, which means luck has been on their side. Also helps that Roro has certainly been one of the best SC2 players for Ace, even if his play has been somewhat shaky for a while.

I dislike crediting wins to "luck" - there is no denying that Samsung essentially flipped a switch and got their shit together. Besides you don't get lucky like that 8 times in a row.

They''re on the longest win streak of the season right now - that doesn't just happen by "not fucking up". Not really. 7 of their 8 wins have been 4-3, which means luck has been on their side. Also helps that Roro has certainly been one of the best SC2 players for Ace, even if his play has been somewhat shaky for a while. I dislike crediting wins to "luck" - there is no denying that Samsung essentially flipped a switch and got their shit together. Besides you don't get lucky like that 8 times in a row.
I think wins just snowball as well. As players win more, they get more confident and perform better leading to more wins.

I looked at the options for this round, and although Jaehoon, Shine and Roro seemed like solid anti-team picks, my judgement got the better of me and I decided against it. My anti it looking pretty bad anyway, but I'm certainly not regretting my decision.

I'm not really giving an opinion on the matter. It's simply a matter of fact that in close matches, luck becomes more of a factor. There have been tons of studies in many different sports regarding how close matches tend to be coinflips, while lopsided ones tend to favor the better team.
Granted, proleague is a bit different due to the mechanics of the Ace match. But even then it says more about Roro becoming SC2 proleague version of Jaedong than the entire team itself.

By all means talk about and speculate on code S in this thread. It just that being in code S or not didn't have anything to do with anything in the context of that conversation. it doesn't or won't negate flashes other achievements. if you meant to say it as an unrelated side note, i also wonder if he will get in to code S, as he obviously proven he has the skill level. he just needs to make his strats more solid to make it more of a certainty.
stephano is a good example. he obviously has the skill but, particularly in his first game in GSL, he just had to many holes in his overall game play that got exploited.
in any case it was still a great game. look forward to seeing flash adjust his game play after this, as he may often play greedy, but he manages to adjust and play stronger each time regardless.

Even as a Khan fan, I will agree a lot of Khan's wins have been tenuous at best. Relying on Shine/Turn to come up with wins is never a good idea. I'm not too happy about the Twin Cannons dropping games, especially Stork's 0-3. If they get their shit together, we're gonna see a lot more 4-0,4-1s coming out of Khan. But as it is now, Khan definitely is SC2 version of Oz.
