DanishStarcraft.com 2013 Winter is the first event for www.DanishStarcraft.com in 2013. This tournament has 4 qualifiers, from which players who reach the top 16 earn "Steelseries points", which is used for qualifying for DS.COM 2013 Winter.
The 16 players with the most Steelseries points after the last qualifier, qualifies for DS.COM 2013 Winter.
Prewords:
2012 was a hell of a year at www.DanishStarcraft.com. We've been doing numerous Danish Starcraft events, and in general had a joy in seeing how a small community as ours, can blossom into something bigger and better. We have now begun 2013 with a blast, and have numerous partnerships with LAN organizers in Denmark, and all our plans might come true the more 2013 advances!
This event will start the year from which we will advance on into the bigger leagues - and hopefully help get the danish players out into the international scene!

I will now list the most important information regarding this tournament.
Format:
Danish players only.
4 qualifiers from which the participating players earn "Steelseries points". The top 16 players, from these qualifiers, earn a spot into Group play on February the 9th - which is seeded according to the amount of Steelseries points aquired. The top 2 of each group advance to a Championship Bracket on February the 10th, which is Single Elimination. The semifinalist is to play their games at HKLAN #6 the 15th of February.
Top 4 takes home prize money, HKLAN #6 tickets and more TBA.

Saturday, Feb 09 11:00am GMT (GMT+00:00), Sunday, Feb 10 11:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) and Friday, Feb 15 11:00am GMT (GMT+00:00)

Total prizepool: 1.700 DKK (~$300) (not finalized)

Additional information regarding the winners:
The winner recieves a spot in the "Dansk Metal Invitational" - the determining tournament of the best danish player. More informationer to come.
Additionally the top 2 players, Sonder and Bunny, recieves a top-seed in a yet to be announced tournament coming in Heart of the Swarm.
Also additional prizes has been added.
