Premier Division Group A is made up of four teams: StarTale, Evil Geniuses, FXO, and Prime. Group B contains LG-IM, MVP, Team Liquid, and Karont3. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play in a playoff for the $9,000 first prize!

Ah I remember last time they played. When MKP was fresh off an MLG win, and Idra very publicly called him a bad player who only won through cheesy/abusive play. Then they come out in IPL TAC and Idra beats him and dances his ultras. Haven't been that proud of the gregornator in a while.
Still it's unlikely he'll play due to being on holiday and focused on HotS when he has played. Most of EG's US component (and Demuslim) have been playing far more HotS than WoL lately. So it seems unlikely any foreigners barring Thorzain or Huk will have been used, and Huk has been on vacation these past few weeks too (though he'll be practising for GSL now). No idea what Stephano is up to in terms of practise atm.

TheStC has some solid macro, you'd be surprised. The MKP vs. IdrA game everyone's talking about was a failed 2rax on Entombed and MKP couldn't macro his way back into the game... He had Ultralisks dancing outside his third for two minutes at the end of the game. I'm not saying they can't macro, I'm just saying you need extremely good macro to get back into a game after a failed 2rax against IdrA.

These games were probably played over Christmas/New Year break for the foreigners and they were probably too busy to play... (See post above this. Stalker knows what he's talking about. The games were the day after Christmas. Don't expect foreigners other than ThorZaIN for this.)

and EG isn't a fan of cross server games, so it will probably be all KR vs KR which includes Thorzain and Huk (depending on when he went on vacation and when the games were played)
I guess this has too many variables for both teams to send out who they want to play on which map eh? Ah well it's fine, should make for interesting games. In my mind it depends on a couple of factors, the first being the player and the second being how seriously they're taking it. Honestly could swing either way depending on whether or not the Prime boys feel like being on fire, ditto for EGTL.

IPL Tac 2 was when I really started cheering for Prime. Almost every game went to the ace match, with either Creator or MKP doing most of the work for the team. It was awesome fun!

The key point in my post with it being a lot like yesterday is PuMa winning games 2 & 3 and Revival winning games 7 8 & 9... Making it an exact repeat of what happened with FXO...

I typed that before MKP more or less hardly got any relevant kills with his first cloaked banshee. The turret at the natural basically warded the other one off and gave Thorzain a lead with economy. But Thorzain's +1 stim push got cleaned up and now MKP is ahead. So it'll go back and forward.

for someone like Puma who repeatdly fail on the korean soil (did he even get once in code A?) it's plausible, TZ got destroyed yesterday by Tear, but he's one of the best Code B player and his TvT has historically been good vs Korean. Then well, some EG player just suck plain up in some match up (JDvP JYPvT outside of practice, or just suck compare to most koreans (Huk, Demu, maybe Idra). Tho if they had revival for the 1st round they might have won at least one more match.

EG are guaranteed to advance, in 2nd place behind Startale, no matter what happens in the final series between Startale and Prime, that series will have literally zero impact on the playoffs bar possibly seeding (?) of 3rd and 4th of the Up/down playoffs.

EG has a playoff spot locked. Only Prime and StarTale play and Prime can't make the playoffs while StarTale has also secured a spot. And even if StarTale loses 0-5, they will still have a better map score than EG so ST will be #1 in the group while EG is #2.

.. Those guys were talking about Fantasy Pro League Teams facepalm. Jaedong is currently priced at 7 points if you select him and you only have 30 points to spend. If you go with any player above 7 points you are really depending on them to go on several win streaks. If a team has a half decent Protoss, they'll send them out to counter him and there are several good Protoss players currently in PL. I know some guys who are depending on two guys to pretty much support their PL teams.

Ya his stream hit 10k viewers earlier. Haven't seen that many for a user stream since, well, Idra.
It's because he's the latest attraction. Those numbers will steady decline, but it might take months considering the hype wagon everyone is generating around him. It's just non-stop. He's definitely coming along with his creeping. Now if he can just get the other kinks worked out he's going to be a pretty big behemoth again soon.

He just started SC2 + the amount of marketability is definitely paying off with the amount of viewers he gets for his stream.

When Stephano was in Korea he had about average 9k and it would hit over 10k very often.
Stephano will hit 100 Billion viewers for sure, zerg overlords and queens all over the universe will learn strategy from him. The day they mastered Stephano's strategies, is the doomsday for earth.

I'm not sure if you understood what i said or what is going on through your mind. Obviously he is worth it salary wise. BUT for fantasy proleague, the amount of points he costs is too much to justify having him on your team. That is what we are talking about.
Agh... Jaedong vs Maru was the epithome of what I hate about this game. Just a tiny timeframe of few seconds is enough to determine a whole game, which might have been perfectly even up to that point.
You played toe-on-toe with your opponent for 19 minutes? Who cares! Opponent engages while you are thinking about your next steps: you lose the game! Opponent engages while you are managing multiple harasses: you lose the game! Opponent engages while you are back home powering: you... lose... the... game...!
(And no, this is not balance whining, both protoss and zerg have their good share of it in their silly mothership + vortex vs broodlord/infestor battles. I've seen several games where either party lost because they where focused on something else at the crucial time.)
The Jaedong vs Maru game was not over in an instant, Maru was dominated the entire length of the game as Jaedong established and maintained map control. Maru was pinned to his base by Jaedong's attacks.

Except the game wasn't anywhere close to even. Jaedong was ahead in tech, was up 2 bases, and was ahead on upgrades (not completely sure on that one, but I'm pretty sure he was). Add to the fact that Maru put his army right on the edge of JD's creep giving him absolutely no chance to react if Jaedong engaged. That attack sealed the game, but JD was already significantly ahead at that point in the game.

Don't think you should read that much into it, the games were played halfway through december I think. EG practicing like mad for proleague, eSF getting their yearly month off in because aside from the blizz cup there was nothing left to play for.
