The deadline for all applications will be extended to December 22nd.

It's that time again. The compLexity Academy has opened up enrollment and is looking to add four up and coming North American StarCraft II players to add to its ranks. Two players will be picked up from a recruitment tournament scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 22nd. The tournament will follow the standard best of three, single elimination format.

The other two players will be chosen by Academy commissioner Michael "Twixz" Shane based on their application videos.

1) To identify and support potential future stars of StarCraft 2 by providing them with the gear, training partners and travel opportunities needed to elevate them to professional status

2) To foster an environment necessary to ensure the continued growth and development of the professional StarCraft 2 eSports scene in North America.

1) If a player is given a professional contract, his spot will be filled during the next CA Open Recruitment Tournament.

2) One month before each MLG LAN event, CA will hold a Qualifying Tournament from which the Top 1-2 players will be given airfare and hotel to the next MLG event.

Tournament sign up: compLexity Academy Tournamnet Page Link

Application process:

Your application video should consists of a short introduction followed by answers to the follow questions:

Introduce yourself, if you already applied before has anything changed since your last application?
What are your thoughts on Heart of the Swarm?
What is your strongest matchup, do you have a matchup you are currently struggling with?
How did you get into Starcraft2, what drew you into and what has kept you playing?
Have you thought about your New Years resolution for this year? If so what are you concidering (in game or out of game resolutions).
Feel free to add anything else (twitter, facebook, acheivements, ladder information, etc...)

Once you have your video made, please upload it to YouTube and email the link to michael.shane@complexitygaming.com.

If you are unable to make a video, you can still apply to The Academy. Just email Twixz (michael.shane@complexitygaming.com) with the answers to the questions above and he will work with you through the application process.

If you are accepted into The Academy there are several perks. Aside from training with a highly motivated team, The Academy will also provide you with a Creative Sound Blaster headset as well as a mousepad from QPAD. You will also have the opportunity to win trips to MLG events, play in Academy sanctioned events (showmatches) and the opportunity to stay at the compLexity Gamma Gamers House in Houston, Texas.

Best of luck to all applicants!

I believe they're all Bo3 the tournament page just notes them as Bo1. It's meant to say single elimination (If you lose you're out).

The tournament page says 9am PST, not 9am EST - you may want to clarify this.

Nightshade, why you sweating brah? Either you think you're a beast now or you're going to be one in the future. Relatively speaking, in a foreign gamer sense. If you're right, you can only be kept down for so long. It's just a matter of time. A kid said I should try streaming some games and wear a cat suit or something. As much of a joke as that is, that's probably the only thing stopping someone from becoming a pro gamer/"entertainer." Just a matter of will and dignity, nightshade. If I see you in a suit, I won't look down upon you.

Thanks for making me look like a sucker, Nighshade. You had me in serious mode. I could have sworn you were on the edge of your seat, refreshing the thread every 5 seconds, nervously awaiting what the future holds. You're a deceptive player. Your chances have been increased. And that's why the process is probably taking the time that it is, the applicants keep adding to their case. I blame you, but I'll still root for you.

I'm just a guy that likes long walks on sidewalks. Sometimes I have thoughts during those walks. Much like SC, when you're trying to be a pro, you will often look to the most respected players to emulate. Well, in this instance, when wanting to verbalize my thoughts, I thought "what would someone who was fit to rule the so called 'superpower' of the world, with 311 million people, say?"

If I can't get into a SC team, I'm just trying to make sure I have a solid backup plan. Why play against pros when you can plot wars and be eloquent in speech? I'd rather just have pros fight my wars.

Just wanted to post this here, the invites and tourney winners have not been contacted as of yet. I am still in the process of setting everything up for them. EVERYONE will still receive a response from me. I have been very sick and currently I still am, I just wanted to post this for those who have been wondering what is going on.

I am sorry for the delay, and I am hoping to have this done for everyone asap.

I'm with you Nightshade, but I don't even want to play. Battling for every spot behind the Koreans, feeling as if apart of the special olympics. Relevance hinging on Koreans not becoming as proficient in English, and advertising enough drivel to out twitter follow the competition. No, that's not the life.

Luckily, I'm ready to apply for the PR/news position, and it looks like that's what is needed atm. Let me give it a shot. Your guess is as good as mine, but someone has to seem official.

Nightshade, while it's an honor to have received interest from you, we were aiming for a touchdown; we were dropped back in the pocket, needing to put some points up on the board, so we threw it in the endzone. While the players we passed to might not necessarily have been better than you, and they might botch the pass (probably will), we just felt the players already in the endzone offered us better odds. We felt you were a player/individual that was closer to the endzone than most, so keep progressing down the field and we will be looking for you next time around. You're a great prospect. It's just people are at different stages in their development. Some have 0 twitter followers. Others have 10. You were merely a victim of fourth down.

Why not announce that we have recruited some players? In previously mentioned news, we lost our media guy. Not only that, but we no longer have the academy house opened. Even if scoring a touchdown were deserving of excitement, where's our camera guy to record the celebratory spike and dance? Hint, maybe you should have applied for that position. Without a house and MLG not having an open bracket, we just lost 2 quivers out the academy bag. Those were our main quivers, if not our only ones. We would rather just keep things low key atm, while we continue to think of ways to make being in the academy worthwhile. Would hate to think it just seems like if you ever amount to something, we have dibs on you. Sole negotiating rights. When it's more subtle or beneficial for both parties, perhaps we will put news like this on front street.

There's a few things I want to note, Nightshade. If you were interested in someone, would you keep in touch with them? If you don't, who is to say someone else doesn't come along and take what you're eying? Common sense, Nightshade, has to prevail over wishful thinking, sometimes. Spending that energy on practicing could be the difference between getting in or not, next time. On the bright side, without a house, there is no hard cap on how many players can be in the Academy, as it was previously limited to beds/space. We have to mull over this number and evaluate whether or not to settle on a number that is a bit higher than before, or to take it on a case by case basis. Either way, I'm liking your chances in the future. Next time, we will hope to be in a better spot, like second and goal, against the leagues worst rated defense.

PLaya your post is confusing, are you associated with complexity or not.... though you do bring up a valid point... Where is the academy going with the house closing and no open bracket? Just looks kind of dark for trying to make a push now a days as player.

While anyway, anyone just up for practicing or what not? Im still looking for a team to do so.

I have no affiliation with Complexity. Nor do I have any idea on this situation. Sorry for the confusion. I'm merely trying to go pro at guessing. Look at it this way, though, if I were drastically wrong... surely someone from CoL would set the record straight! I was looking out for you.

No need for a response. How could I have not been spot on? While it will be interesting to see what will happen, with the developments that have happened since the tournament was announced, it's probably hard to have anything finalized. I wish more would join in on the conjecture, though. With the time that this has taken, imagine picking a zerg from the tournament that showed great broodlord/infestor play... by the time he's in the academy, HotS is out and people couldn't care less about that abomination that is WoL. You would probably just want to redo it.

Also worth noting, is that not everyone has a good enough computer/internet to stream, so if the players no longer have the option of playing on equipment provided by sponsors, what impact does that have? Who knows, though, an announcement could be close; Lake said that CoL signed a new player in an interview, and then like 2-3 weeks later they actually revealed who it was.

All you can do is play HotS and wait and see.

Please stop being a kid that is asking "are we there yet?" They're aware you would like to be informed. Asking 5 more times isn't going to change that. If they're not saying anything, then I guess they don't have anything to report. If it bothers you that much and you feel so deserving, how about trying to join another team. There are other teams with academies.

I'm suggesting reasons for why they probably haven't come to anything concrete yet. What are you suggesting? The world is out to piss off Nightshade_? If my posting bothers you, then I guess that's just more proof for the world conspiring against poor lil nightshade_.

When they are 1 and a half months past the announcement time and every week they say "next week" it's a valid question. No one gives a shit that you can type a wall of text, you're not doing anything to help anyone, and you're hurting my eyes. I could tell you I'm going out to dinner with my Grandpa next week. He could die before that time comes. There could be some understanding of why I didn't end up seeing him, or we can blame me for not "sticking to my promises." Point is, it doesn't really matter what is said, if key things change during the time period.

After the tournament, what happened? They decided to shutdown the gaming house. A key thing. What has happened recently? There's news of no open bracket at MLG. A key thing. What were the two main perks for being in the academy? Living in a gaming house and having the chance to compete in the open bracket. If all of the sudden your two main perks are gone or at least a question mark, then it's probably hard to carry on as business as usual. These are just some of the new hurdles that we are aware of. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes on their side of things.

I don't know your story, but if anyone in CoL played BW, beside theSTC, then I'm sure I was probably better than them, and I don't see any reason why I couldn't be better than them in HotS. Even if that were true, what if that doesn't necessarily give better odds for sponsor dollars paying dividends than someone that is more of a personality with slightly less skill?

Everyone would like to have more information and understanding. Maybe life isn't always fair, though, but if going the forum route hasn't proven to get you where you want to go, maybe you should try emailing Twix. If that doesn't work out, what will? Trying to blackmail people? There's only so much you can do besides just waiting like everyone else.

Youre too focuses on "2 major perks" being in the academy provides you with good connections for practice partners as well as extra academy only tournaments (academy vs X main team member and Team leagues). Compare this with other teams that would accept you and you will see that it would be in your best interest to join the academy over other teams. The academy recruits high master - GM, so again please name me 1 team that you can join at that skill level that would provide something even close to what the academy is providing. Academy members get to practice with main team as long as you ask, which a majority of the time means you also get time to play with other NA and EU pros as well as semi-pro players that range in the mid - high GM skill level. Regardless please check out this thread as it is very enlightening http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=367307 Please respond with your opinion on what it is!

I don't know what your obsession is with me in specific but I could honestly care less.

I'm a retard all of the sudden your two main perks are gone or at least a question mark, then it's probably hard to carry on as business as usual.

I'm kinda passive and don't really like to intrude on others. While I wouldn't turn down practice, I would just feel like I were bothering players if they were better. Say minigun were still in CoL, I would owe him money or something for wasting his time. I'm not sure how big of an adv practice partners (outside of ladder) are in SC 2. I know in BW it didn't really seem to matter besides when it came tournament time. I do think that played a big part in helping a lot of EG guys qualify year after year, despite not necessarily being better than others (not talking about players like nyoken). They just lived together and practiced on the maps together. But, in SC 2, with the current ladder system and map pool used between tournaments and ladder, I'm not sure how big of an adv that is. Scarlett seems to do alright, a self-proclaimed ladder player. I also agreed with Scarlett's sentiment that players often play the same style, so you kinda start playing a game like you were map hacking or something. It's not the same. It really depends on what kinda practice is it. Focusing on builds you're having trouble against kinda thing? Getting more games in on non ladder maps than your future opponents?

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but I'm intrigued as to how advantageous it is. I can count on 1 hand, probably, the amount of teams I've tried to join in the past 10 years. I couldn't answer your question on what other teams provide. As for the thread you linked, I'm not a whale expert, but I've seen Free Willy. So, I'm close to an expert, and I gotta tell you, that looks nothing like my whale, Willy. On the other hand, have you seen sharks? All kinds of variety. You could confuse a dog with a shark; they come in that many shape and sizes. So, obviously the thing in question is a shark. What kind of shark is really the only question.

guess u owe a lot of people money for practice fuzzy huehuehe, at least you got another mark to the shark count though.

Just so the other two people are aware posting like you have been doesn't really help the process go faster, and for playa, you should probably drop the hubris you have carried through from simply playing BW because frankly it has no weight on SC2. If you think you'd be better than X% of people in SC2 the only way to know is to play competitively. Theorizing based on previous gameplay is quite the red herring.

I respectfully have to disagree. When I look at Terran, I just don't see anyone that really became better than a BW player that was better than them (unless they switched to Terran for SC 2). When I look at Toss, it's not really a question of who was better in BW, but who was better in WC 3. They're killing us in micro. However, with Zerg, say 1 player has one hand and the other has two, I couldn't tell who to expect to be better. I have no idea what is going on with that race in SC 2. I have hunches, but ultimately it looks like a crapshoot to me.

The biggest reasons to not expect someone to become better in SC 2, given the same amount of games, if they were previously better than you, is APM and how much of a copy cat they are. High apm players are losing an advantage. Players that want to play copy cat when there are no established builds are obviously going to have a harder time, too.

Another thing is, the newer a game, the stronger all-ins are. It takes a while for people to figure out how to stop everything. But to me, I don't consider this a better player. It's an illusion that hinges on time. Sooner or later, reality will set in.

I'm getting that feel... so where am I wrong? Major was the best foreign BW Terran player to switch to SC 2, at least when you factor in potential. To me, he's probably the best SC 2 Terran player. With Toss, Nony was the biggest copy cat of them all, so it's unreasonable to expect the same from him in SC 2. I would probably go with Mana. With Zerg, you see players that were C- in BW that are now unbeatable. You see players like Ret who aren't relevant. It's definitely the hardest race to try to draw conclusions from. But, with the other two races, given both players put in the same amount of time in a previous RTS game, I have no idea why anyone would expect for there to be a big difference in where they rank. I'm not saying it's an exact science, but, a C- Toss or Terran in BW shouldn't be winning anything in SC 2. When they do, I'll admit that there's just no way to say players will fall within a certain range. I'll be waiting a while, though, I feel.

Sorry if you feel threatened by me Playa, but writing long, boring paragraphs and walls of text won't increase your chances of getting accepted, and to be honest I'm pretty sure they're not going to accept anyone from video apps simply due to the SC2 team struggling at the moment.

Are you trolling? I find "are we there yet" posts a lot more riveting and engaging. If you haven't noticed, I don't comment unless it's trying to explain to you reasons why you demanding answers has no bearing on how quickly you will receive them in this thread. Maybe I could save you from asking a 7th time. There reaches a point, where even if you were going to pick someone, you would say "hey, this guy is really freaking annoying and rubbing me the wrong way, so maybe I'll rethink it." At least I would. I didn't make a video app. As for walls of texts, it might not help your chances, but it might help you have a conversation on... SC 2. Next time you play a SC 2 game, try playing it like your posts. Try using a few letters per game and see how convincing your win is. If you don't think the video app will help you, then you must be telling me you either won the tournament or were very close to doing so, or else I have no idea why you're so curious.

practice... massing ladder in a ghost town gets old, only real reason i seem impatient. and playa you say there are other teams with academies? What would those be? As vVv is a really weak lineup and so is FXO on the academy side. While col and academy is solid but one thing im not sure with even with the col academy how much do you guys practice and is it possible to just sit in on practices till this is announced? or even if i dont get in would really just love to expand my practice group especially for HOTS release coming up.

also its a shark.

I was thinking of FXO. FXO has a very weak NA lineup, too (or at least top heavy). While perks are nice, if you were in an academy, I think the biggest motivator would be "hey, some of these guys in the main team... I think I could prove I'm at that level." As long as the team is stable and what not, to me it seem like your main priority would be being able to envision cracking the lineup. Then, maybe practicing with "gosus" might become more of a priority. While I don't know you, KiFre, I think I've gathered that you're probably way better than any Toss in the FXO lineup (aside from maybe Desrow). When you see things like that, frankly, you should be in a team. Being impatient is probably a good thing at times.

Yeah.. Rejected.

Playa as far as fxo toss go theory is their strongest. Desrow only takes games when I make mistakes, but desrow is their most popular. But the academy doesnt practice much or properly from what ive seen.

Guess I can scratch off col academy for now. But my options for a team are like zero now. But its an awkward reality that ive accomplished more in my esports career than most pro teams combined, yet cant even find practice partners =/

That's insane. It's so much easier to find a "good" zerg player, than a NA Terran or Toss. Hopefully it will be a different story in HotS and it will only accentuate your skills. I got rejected, too, but after a month or w/e with no correspondence, I don't need a message unless it's a message to pass on to nightshade.

I obviously don't know all of the applicants and what not, but that's a crime. I heard on your stream you said you beat stephano and someone else. I think I did also notice you at number 2 in HotS at one point. What game is a month away from launch? Come on. I don't want to be a sore loser, but come on. Bias against Toss or something.

I had the same mmr as Karmy after a month and a half of playing, starting last year. I'm 2-0 that guy. Imagine just how much better you are than some of these guys. I'm sure they have more to offer. Something is wrong, that's all I'm saying.

edit: I couldn't really tell if you were talking about FXO academy or coL acad so ignore this if it was FXO.
I'd just like to correct you on this... When the house was around last semester people such as qxc were constantly asking ME for practice when I'm obviously not as good as the A team(and this was when I was playing like 5 games a week due to school). There was set amounts of time for coL inhouse practice where NA and EU, sometimes even KR pros would jump on and practice set best of X games together to help work on things before MLG. Keep in mind, a lot of the academy members are in school/have other obligations. We practice together when we can, but by no means are held by a stringent schedule as we're not pro players.

The academy is for fostering talent and getting you into contact with much better players, as well as opportunity with tournaments/MLG/showmatches/Casting/housing opportunity etc. A lot of the players on the academy are what you'd call natural players... people like sasquatch before he got promoted and fuzzy play almost exclusively custom games with practice partners/not very many games in general yet still compete very well. Of course sasquatch plays a lot more now that he's on main roster, but the point is, the players use the time they have effectively. To say we don't practice much or properly just doesn't seem right to me.

Kif1re I read your blog about your gaming history and know you in game as well, but what is really important in organizations like this and what you kind of need to realize is that there is limited spots. Complexity has always been a team that looks to talent/ability to contribute to the team first rather than your past e-sports career. Now, while I personally think you're a good player/involved it's up to the specific management of the academy team to decide if you or someone else is more qualified. I know you've applied before, but because you didn't get it does not mean that the players themselves don't practice properly edit2: also.. just because u don't see people have games broadcasted or what not at MLGs does not mean the players perform poorly...The problem is just no one acknowledges anything from open bracket even if you're only 1 or 2 rounds off champ bracket which is quite sad~

With that said, good to see some emails going out. Hopefully many of you are getting your answers!

uhh yeah that whole entire sentence was talking about FXO lol... A few posts back I asked what the Col academy actually does for practice though as I wasnt sure. As that was more of a shadowy ground that no one really talks about.

Yeah and Kyo I realize there are limited spots, but the disappointment with myself comes into play that I wasnt just talking about complexity though, when I talked about not finding anything. My best standing team offer atm is 1 dollars per win in a clanwar with the team owner being 15 and a tshirt, with their highest ranking player being a diamond. Thats about as far as I get and all im looking for an "effective" practice environment. but thats why I feel repeatedly hurt when I look back at what ive done in the past and try to look forward with a "positive" view is not easy. Even when it comes to say teams, even if they dont let me join, ive even put out offers to just show up to practices or asked about that type of stuff, even just practicing with players of mid masters level i get told no alot lol...

Im the type of player where if you beat me hard, I analyze the hell out of those games and then come back stronger. Which is something I dont get on the ladder, Especially if im not sure where I went wrong and im just sitting their analyzing and cant find a clear solution, and one simple question could save weeks of non improvement. And the better the player the more my flaws are exposed... either way with the holidays and stuff over... I really need to start doing my 4 4 4 shift for 12 hour practice days again with hots though, While time isnt quality, Time is what I have the most of.

Oh okay, I always thought people lose by playing perfect and not making mistakes.

Took a look at my replay folder, Played you twice on january 2nd. You barely have bonus pool and you're around 900 http://sc2ranks.com/us/291685/KiFirE

My smurf is around 1300 points and my main account is top40 GM. You played me when i was commentating a lot and reading chat while playing. I've stopped since then and saw a drastic improvement over my gameplay/ranking.

I honestly wish you the best of luck finding a team but bragging over ladder wins vs notable or known (in my case) players is not the right way to go, at least not on public forums

Blame me. I set him up. It's easy to appear modest and undeserving when you're known and have fans. No matter what you say, there's going to be someone reciting your bio to any doubters. To actually become known, outside of winning a tournament, though, someone has to bring your story/facts to the table. While I don't know Kif1re, I'm under the impression that he's probably better than some academy memebers that might be giving him reasons for why they're ultimately more deserving than him.

I had to pump his tires, as I thought he was underselling himself. What mentality do you think Idra has? If he loses, it's always his fault or bad luck, because if he played how he is capable he would win, right? It's a mindset. A lot of us have it. Plus, if you beat a player a good bit, it's a bit hard to worship them. What would you have to think of yourself in comparison, then? You must be god himself? If one of you is good and the other has a similar enough MMR to play you, then odds are both must be pretty damn good. Trying to split hairs, chalk it up to kids being competitive.

Anyone can beat anyone for the most part, but if you have that MMR and you're not cannon rushing people or 4 gating every game, then you both probably deserve to be in a team. If one isn't in a team, it would be weak to not maybe embellish your feelings, be it due to ladder wins or not. No one is wrong. All gosus. If you had to fear someone jumping in to criticize every comment you made, no one would say anything.

im going to assume that this isnt the kifire we're talking about

edit:

and I dont see why so many people are into practice partners, you get on a bad NA team and you practice vs bad NA players and then you go to korea and lose to people doing the same thing but much better or without mentally challenged decision making.

Would rather just ladder on better servers.

sorry I still hold grudges as BM to me is hard to let go...While calling you out probably wasnt the best idea, But you know the sad reality is if i just sit here and say GL HF every game and GG and try to be the best I can be with manner... its always who are you? and in return I get bmed back, By successful players like you.... If I hype one thing on a forum, Guess what I just got more publicity for this one freaking comment then I did for everything I won in wol.... All $4500 of it.... and possibly judging since Ive gotten around 15+ emails on it and now getting twitter messages, that's more publicity then I got over my 20 years of competing in esports... Whats next, im going to get my first interview over this? as opposed to winning countless tournaments and a few major ones over the years? Sorry for going into that, but its just frustrating.

and that account on NA is essentially my warm up account atm, My alt is alot higher and between that alot of time has been spent with hots.

Yeah I fell into that, again sorry desrow. but playa is right, If I just sit here humbly, and be like yes I practice and compete alot. Probably why ive never gone anywhere in sc2. but im not sure whether to thank you or blame you playa lol.... Granted becoming the villain is probably not the direction where I want to go, but it the sad reality of this community is that ive got more publicity over that then anything, and its frustrating tbh. I really dont see anything wrong with my true attitude with who I want to be, im competitive and practice to one day be best. Winning that world championship has been my goal for several years, Ive came close but everything has its ups and downs and my SC2 is definitely a down point. But I practice to fix that. Ive let this down point get the best of me and I would say I need to practice harder, But harder is impossible, I need to practice more quality. And break out of being down both in game in and in real life and my mentality as a whole, I need to bring everything up.

Either way, my last post in this thread, Sorry, and thanks to complexity for the opportunity to apply.

You're so fucking stupid my brain hurts just reading.

Edited: I'll clarify before people get pissed (but honestly if you know anything you won't get pissed).

Major best foreign BW player to switch...? Major is good but uh, Strelok? Brat_OK? All better to have made the switch. I mean I won't get caught up in the drama that your above post provides. Let's just leave it at that, hm?

As for those that will be joining the Academy in the coming months/years/decades... I welcome you with open arms <3

EroSennin, you're the only reason I believe in miracles. I don't know how you managed to get in a team. On top of not being known, there's a good reason for it. You've never done anything but randomly BM people. That's it. Shouldn't you be busy trying to whore your medical advice on twitter and such? O, have you already tried to get it retweeted by everyone? What's it feel like to know you're taking up spots from more deserving players? Are you trying to be a player or are you trying to be a trainer to help with injuries? I didn't know the Academy was for water boys.

How does it feel to spend all day trying to get things retweeted by "friends," when they ignore you. Makes you want to BM me? Why did you stop BM'ing me in my thread? O, you were the only person of that opinion? Is this your safe haven, where you can rely on your teammates to back your foolishness?

How long have you played SC 2. What's your rank. How many games? Are you a personality? What is it that makes you stand out? I'm missing something.

If what I said is so stupid and wrong, why aren't you winning anything. Why aren't you in the main team. Why can't you become so much better in SC 2 if anyone can do it? Aren't you in an academy to be training more than the opposition. It appears it might be a talent issue. Surely, you couldn't glean from BW who might be more talented than you. Hmm. Keep thinking about it, kid.

As for your edit and talk on Terran players, remember how highly you think of me? Guess what, I'm 3-0 Brat_Ok. I also played Terran, so I might be a little better of a judge than you. As for Strelok, I'm not going to lie, he was really good. There was a period where he was training really hard on Korean servers and had amazing runs in WCG and was def one of the best foreign Terran players. But, like I said, when you factor in potential and current skill level, Major was the person to look out for, be it BW or SC 2. There's a reason Artosis was hyping him so much. What rank do you think you have to be to get try outs with Korean teams? Have you seen Major's multitask? What's his age? How many games did he have in comparison to Strelok who has been playing since way before I started? Towards the end, I remember seeing what was believed to be Strelok's account on iccup. He was doing anything but setting the world on fire.

As for what you said above, eh, gibberish.

There are so many players like you who do not have a team, practice partners, stable income, etc.
Yet they are as good as you, most of them are better.
Do you get it?

P.S. Honestly, if you are not top 100 in the world, seeking a career as a progamer is like falling off the edge of the cliff.

This premise is why teams need scouts in the know or people in a position where morals or objectiveness can't be called into question. I could assemble a team of 10 players. 5 get paid. 5 don't. To be paid you have to consistently be better than the 5 that are being paid. Does it really make sense to ask the 5 players that aren't getting paid to decide who else to add, if they have any idea what skill level the person in question might be at? It's a conflict of interest. It wouldn't even make sense for many in the top 5, as long as there is a shot of them dropping out of the paid spots.

That said, grats to the selected. Hopefully they're not all zerg.
