Wow, I must have hit a spot, no need to get so angry.

Mmm...
Quote from the elephant in the room article: Flash and Jaedong, when motivated, have a mindset and work ethic that is unmatched by any other RTS professional. Their ability to focus and practice is not just "way better" than what Mvp is capable of, but orders of magnitudes better. Think the difference between Kobe and "average starter" on an NBA team.
Maybe Leta or Sea or Best or Zero won't come into SC2 and be ultra-successful if they switch. But Jaedong and Flash? They are outliers. They do not conform to the normal rules, and everyone who has followed Brood War knows that if they switch, it's not a question of if they will dominate and win, but when.
The "different game" argument applies to 99.9% of progamers, but not for special players like Jaedong and Flash. The game doesn't matter. Whether it's BW or SC2 or checkers or minesweeper, certain players are so good they will always be at the top.

flash had a perfect scan at 6 minutes, saw 1 base banshee without cloak, he just didnt seem to account for the possibility of a medivac drop, that combined with the banshee at the natural 2 minutes later cost him the game

Flash destroyed him pretty badly the only time they ever played in the OSL.

That's nice, except you don't know what you're talking about, so don't quote stuff when you can't actually speak on it. BaBy was one of the up-and-comers for a couple of years before BW "died." Many people heralded him as the second coming of FlaSh.

Reminds me of Flash vs Dear when Flash was on a 14 game win streak and everyone was wondering how anyone would ever beat him. Then he scans Dear's base and cancels the turrets he was building and loses to reaver drops. :-/

This remind me how this article is such a BS. Mvp=average starter on NBA team? fuck.

Q: Because of your time in Pantech and Curitel, everybody regards Nada as your mentor. What are your thoughts on this issue? Who is your mentor? A: I was not yet ready to mimic Nada then. To be honest, I tried to learn from him, but I couldn’t. So I decided to improve on my own. I was on friendly terms with Firefist, Hero V and Pepe. I went to school everyday, so I had to practice during the night. These three helped me progress so much by playing with me all night. So they can be called as my mentor. Many people say that Nada was my mentor, but to be frank he was not. It was difficult to ask elder gamers for a game at such a young age, but Firefist, Hero V and Pepe took the initiative to help me out.

The BCs. Ya Flash just got shown up by Baby who played PHENOMENALLY, but really, who else was just SO stoked on the BC win in G2? That was some great stuff.
And also, Code A this week is getting INSANE. I guess it's only logical when you realized that all the former champions of Code S had been knocked out as early as they had been last season, but seeing the results of last Code S season up close in the Code A matches is a little ridiculous. Day 2 round 2 is something someone could have predicted fairly legitimately for Code S Ro8, let alone Code A Ro32. So hyped for GSL. And coming up on Winter break so staying up till 6am over and over isn't an issue lol.

Alright, I clearly have to be an idiot if I don't know the detailed history of a Broodwar progamer.
