I don't understand why player's fight head on against Infested terrans. Why don't players ever just back off? Even for 5 seconds. Even fungal and move back. They do so much damage for free that fighting them if you can avoid doesn't make much sense.

Well it's only been the case in 2012. Several players did well the season after getting to a finals last year.

It seems like players have just gotten so close together in skill that it's almost completely random who wins... Hopefully HotS makes it easier for the best players to distinguish themselves.

Honestly, I think playing a no-infestor* style vs. a infestor style is really tough, recently. I agree, Life could have played better, but all the ITs really have the potential to turn a game around.
