![]() ![]() Game 1 Socke opened Nexus first in the bottom right of Tal'darim altar, while Fenix opened 1 rax expand in the top right of the map. Fenix followed up his expo with a reactored factory, pumping out hellions. Meanwhile, Socke dropped a robo and a 3rd gate onto his initial 2 gates. Fenix's first four hellions managed to kill one stalker that they found out on the map, and then they ran into the main, killing a decent number of probes. Fenix's cloaked banshee follow up was shut down initially, but more hellions at Socke's nat distracted Socke, allowing his cloaked banshee to rack up more probe kills in Socke's main! At the end of the harass, despite a large number of probes being killed, Socke stablised at 66 supply at 10 minutes, with Fenix at 74 supply. However, with medivacs out and a 3rd CC done, and 2-2 to be started shortly with an armory on the way, Fenix appeared to have secured a sizeable lead. At 12:00 Socke put on some blink stalker harass, using an observer to blink into the back of Fenix's main. He picked up a few kills, and then killed off a small group of units out on the map with his harassing blink stalkers, evening up the game a little bit. At 14 minutes, Socke had 110 supply and Fenix had 120. Socke dropped his third nexus, but Fenix had started morphing a planetary at his fourth before Socke's third nexus had even finsihed morphing. Socke continued to pick up the better end of the skirmishes around the map, with good engagements, blinks, forcefields, and storms. However, Fenix's far superior economy kept the supplies very even! At 17 minutes, Socke began his transition from templar to collosus, while Fenix had begun ghost production. Fenix continued to exert map control with his bio force, and executed a few well-controlled drops doing little smidgeons of damage. At 19 minutes Fenix had extended his economic advantage too far, despite all the small battles before hand, and pushed into Socke's base with a 60 supply lead, crushing his army and taking out his natural. He then took a 5th base, being a planetary fortress. A final engagement forced Socke to gg! ![]() ![]() | ||
