Ladies and gentlemen, zerglings and queens, protoss and... well, all the others not mentioned. The HomerJ Show and ESET are very proud to introduce you to our second cup series in this year. After the successful ending of the ESET Summer Masters 2012 with an offline final between ESCDaisy and Ai.Tarra held at the ESET/XMG stage in Cologne during gamescom, we spent a lot of time collecting feedback, ideas and money to improve the whole series for the viewers as well as the players. So finally, with all those important things done, we present: The ESET Winter Masters 2012!
Qualifier:
- 12 Ranked Qualifier (RQ), with 200$ prizemoney each (150$ for the winner, 50$ for the second place)
- the top 16 players of each RQ will earn qualification points
after the RQ series, the 12 players who earned the most points, will advance to the Grand Final Online (GFO)
- 3 Direct Qualifier (DQ), also with 200$ prizemoney, but only the winner will advance to the GFO
Grand Final Online:
- 15 qualified players of the RQ and DQ and the winner of the ESET Summer Masters 2012 (Ai.Tarra) will face their respective opponents in a bo3 single elimination bracket
- the top 8 players will advance to the Grand Final in Hamburg
Grand Final in Hamburg:
- the offline Grand Final will be held in Hamburg/Germany with live audience in attendance
- Ro8, Ro4 will be bo5, the Grand Final will be bo7
- Location: Magnus Hall, Amsinckstr. 70, 20097 Hamburg (Germany)
Now the interesting part for most of you:
Prize Pool:
Qualifier:
250$ for each of the 12 Point Qualifier (1st place 175$, 2nd place 75$) + 250$ for each of the 3 Direct Qualifier (1st place 175$, 2nd place 75$) = 3.750$
Grand Final:
1st: 5.000 $ 2nd: 2.500 $ 3rd: 1.500 $ 4th: 1.000 $ 5th: 600 $ 6th: 600 $ 7th: 400 $ 8th: 400 $ = 12.000 $

Don´t miss the chance guys, the qualifier points are valuable
French Cast will begin at 19:30 CEST. German Stream is online!
|
Some pretty big names in the bracket again! Strelok, Satiini, DieStar, LiveZerg, Dimaga, GoOdy, Fraer, Babyknight, roof, monchi, Slavik, Bly, TargA, Symbol (I think it's the real one), Bling and Honor of course.
The bracket is: http://eset-masters.de/grid.php if anyone is interested.
I wonder why Kas (or even Nerchio) isn't participating. Normally he's seen in this kind of cups. The destroyer of worlds is probably waiting for a direct qualifier. :D
Edit: I'm rooting for "our" grandmaster player ShoWTimE. I believe!

Bo5 between GoOdy and Satinii, huh? TvT with GoOdy... Someone should keep an eye on Satinii... suicidal tendencies - just saying...
|
Today is the Direct Qualifier, should be very exciting °_°

Bump for our last 2 Qualifiers.
|
In the grid, there is a "Bomber". Can someone confirm or deny, whether this is ST_Bomber or not?
|
They are sponsoring a tournament for 15$ dollars? I think the OP head used "." instead of a comma ","
|
Dat casting in elfi vs Hwangsin. "ooohohhooohhh. oooooooohhhh. oooooooooooooooooooohhhhh." Awesome :D

lol Cloud flaming elfi :D. "Everytime i lose to you im isgusted by how bad you are and how easy protoss is."

Cloud played so bad in this game.

|
Don't know if it's a smart idea to let Honor play first. What if he loses and is pissed the rest of the day? :D The games should start in about 15 minutes! Go ShoWTimE and Snute!
|
Germany3367 Posts
Snute unfortunately had to forfeit his match due to IEM. GoOdy will replace him and play versus Turuk!
|
GOGO Basti and monchi!
LOL only 1 zerg^^

Haha, i almost completely missed this tournament. Always sad to see 2 big tournaments on the same weekend at basically the same time. Great crowd though, so it isn't all bad.
So nice that GoOdy is in the grand final. Also huge prizemoney for him already.

StarDust vs GoOdy Finals!!!
|
proxygate into 4gate into manner nexus
Stardust does not give a fuck.
|
i love you stardust, what a game 1 lololol.
|
hmm... Game on Ohana:
Stardust opens with proxy gate, Goody holds with two rax and some scv pull.
Goody makes second CC, goes for the counter with marines and a few scvs, builds two bunkers in the nat of Stardust.
Stardust builds 4 gates at home, sneaks a probe to Goody's main, repowers 5th gate and builds a manner nexus. And then warps in some units from the five gates he has and wins.
Sigh
|
game 2 on Cloud Kingdom:
Stardus opens with a proxy gate...
|
balls of steel, done it again.
|
GoOdy is microing his bio (!!!) like a god! 1:1!
|
yo stardust
time to play serious now.
The crowd is great though.^^
|
Hhm, I wonder if its a bit problematic, that the player are relatively near in front of the crowd. If Goody had recognized that the crowd was really "cheering", when SD placed the proxy-gate again, he could have known something that suspicious is going on :/
The crowd is really great though. IEM and ESET setting some new standards this weekend
|
|
Best crowd ever, really amazing. Kinda like watching Bundesliga football.
|
What an amazing crowd :D "Panzer!" clap clap clap "Panzer!" clap clap clap ...
|
Well done Stardust. Hope they won't be too disappointed if Stardust wins.

If he beats Goody, he would win $5.000 for winning against Minato, kaup, Strelok and Goody...yeah, I think he won't mind people cheering for the other guy. :p
|
|
Once upon a time, on a map far far away called Metropolis, a Warpprism and a CC met on one of the island at the 10 minute mark.
|
Air toss vs mech terran in the Finals for 5 000 $ not bad
|
Sick dancing... how did he make that look so easy.
|
OOOMMMMGGG He lost SO MUCH probes sick hellions shot I must say that this TVP series is better then all that I saw at IEM.
|
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!! How many probes did he get there,wtf...
|
Holy shit... apparently I don't go enough blue flame hellions in my tvp...
|
watching goody is so awesome, he does the weirdst stuff you'll ever see.
|
All of these engages from StarDust... O_O

this is pretty much over and such 4:1, great series. lots of fun games.
|
