DAY 2 OF AGL-AUGUST BEGINS
As Day 1 of August's AGL Invitational concludes 16 players remain. It is becoming clear who has a shot at winning the $500 prize pool and who may claim the AGL Crown. Day 1 began with some excitement and quickly some players broke out and secured some early wins. Day 2 will see 16 players from all across the world compete for purse along with 8 seeds for AGL October.
Day 2 is scheduled to kick off tomorrow Saturday the 1st at 7pm EST. Make sure you tune in to catch some amazing games with the remaining 16 players who survived day one.
Day one saw some big names exiting early to the lower bracket early including players like MaSa who lost 1-2 to HyuN and desRow who lost to CatZ 0-2. Later on fan favorite CatZ was defeated by TriMaster in what was a 75 minute second game of their set. giX also took a third round loss to Korean favorite TSLHyuN who got his revenge against giX for his last AGL elimination.
Up and coming players also played a big role in Day of AGL August with HelloKitty defeating Pool Play player EifeR from MLG along with Infinity Seven's newest member koMA who lost to former ALT member Sonic who is currently on newrosoft. One of the biggest upsets though probably lies in Goswsers knocking IceCream down to the lower bracket. Another big surprise was the popular EU player Veralynn with her big wins against GoSuHwangSin and coLSasquatch as she advances to Day 2 of the AGL.
Out of the 16 player remaining 8 players are still in the winners bracket including players: coLGoswser, coLTriMaster, ROOTToD, TSLHyuN, LgNShuttle, NrSSonic, AreaKitty, and freelance Veralynn.
8 Winner Bracket Players Remain:

TriMaster managed to defeated Original player bOreee in the second round and later defeated ROOT Captain CatZ to secure himself in the top 8 of the winners bracket for Day 2. TriMaster looks forward to a difficult bracket ahead with opponents such as HyuN, Shuttle, Veralynn, CatZ, giX, and Bails still alive. his first order of business will be a difficult tvz with Korean favorite TSLHyuN who has placed well in past AGL's including a win in March over STRainBOw.

Goswser managed to defeat fLcSka in round 2 before going up vs AGL's former Champion GoSuIceCream in the third round. Goswser managed to ek out a major win over the former AGL Champion winning by the score of 2-1. Goswser is scheduled to play vs ROOTToD tomorrow evening with the possibility of facing other players such as IceCream, Sonic, Kitty, KoMA, Nezi, and Bonk. This is Goswsers first time participating in ALT's AGL series.

ToD managed to defeat Cardris in the second round and later went on to defeat Infinity Seven's Pyre to secure himself a spot in the top 8 of the winners bracket. Pyre lucked out by receiving an early forfeit win from LzGamer who was caught up in Hurricane Isaac. ToD has to play Goswser tomorrow to start which is no easy task. ToD has the possibility of playing against IceCream, Sonic, Kitty, KoMA, and Bonk. This is ToD's first AGL event.

Shuttle managed to sneak by with two early byes vs Mono's Honeybear and GoSuSTX. He played vs AreaDoctaD in the third round to secure himself a top 8 spot. Al though his run was relatively easy he has some difficult matches ahead. Including his first Day 2 match vs EU Superstar Veralynn who has torpedoe'd through her first event with shocking wins over GosuHwangSin and coLSasquatch. Shuttle has the potential to face off against TriMaster, HyuN, CatZ, giX, and Bails who remain in their bracket. Shuttle is formerly part of NsHeoSo and is commonly known as MentalKing on the NA ladder.

HyuN managed to defeated Canadian powerhouse MaSa in round two of this event with a later victory over the increasingly known Zerg player giX. Neither of these two opponents were easy and it looks like the bracket only becomes more difficult with an up coming match vs TriMaster to start off tomorrow competition. TriMaster has the possibility of facing Shuttle, Veralyn, CatZ, giX, and Bails in day two. HyuN is a former AGL Champion of March and has participated in multiple AGL's holding three medals.

Sonic managed to avoid potential matches vs coLqxc and binskiLighT by receiving two byes. Sonic later went on to defeat Infinity Seven's latest recruit KoMA in decisive fashion knocking KoMA to the lower bracket. Sonic has his next match vs Kitty of Area51 who finished 5th in the WCS US Nationals. Sonic also qualified for WCS but has less success despite a strong win over GoSuYata. Sonic is a former member of Team ALT and has proven he can compete at high level.

Kitty managed to defeat surprise MLG star EifeR by a score of 2-1 in the second round and later faced ALT's own Bonk defeating him by a score of 2-0. Kitty has secured himself a top 8 winners spot and is preparing to now face off against Newrosoft's Sonic who has proven he can compete with some of the best. Kitty managed to finish 5th at the US WCS Nationals with wins over Gatored, RuFF, PokeBunny, Goswser before falling to Insur and Daisuki.

Veralynn managed to turn some heads today with some major upsets over GoSuHwangSin in the first round along with coLSasqautch who she defeated in decisive fashion with a 2-0 win in the third round. Veralynn managed to secure herself a chance in day 2 where she will be facing off vs Korean powerhouse LgNShuttle formerly known as NsHoSeoShuttle. Verlaynn showed some amazing games and is hungry for more. Veralynn is the head admin of Z33K TV and is a coach for Six Pool Gaming.
