Care to provide a link maybe? Look for EG Masters Cup (EGMC). Hmm the earliest EGMC that shows up on Liquipedia is Season V which apparently took place in mid 2011, so that's roughly one year later than the timeframe ohampatu was talking about. :S Check the trivia section for notes about the laptop/final boss gimmick - EGMCS Oh I see. Unfortunate that those don't have Liquipedia articles of their own but I guess the editors don't have infinite time and resources to add everything. It still doesn't help his point though; I never said HuK or qxc was better than IdrA at that point in time.
I imagine it's because the wiki team wasn't as established back then as it is now, so some events went undocumented. I'll let you two keep arguing though .

IdrA always brings in viewership numbers. This is well established. If I recall Hellspawn (or another major figure from EU) talked about how if IdrA doesn't show up for a tournament the viewership numbers take a noticeable hit.
I'm not saying I want to see this many IdrA games, but it is what it is.

For IEM, Season V is the first season to contain StarCraft 2. Why would it be any different with EGMC? After all, they do have MOBA and CS teams as well... Like I said, it doesn't exist on record in either TLPD or Liquipedia as far as I can tell. :s the links to 1 2 3 and 4 are on the previous page in this thread, and i just searched for it and found it in like 30 seconds.
"The Evil Geniuses Master's Cup Series (EG MCS) are a series of sponsored events run by the team Evil Geniuses. The first and second events were for Quake Live and Counter Strike 1.6, respectively."
Liquipedia has nothing on Seasons 3 and 4, only that they were won by HuK and qxc respectively, who then lost against IdrA.

Idra is showing some very solid, patient, inspired play. Particularly against Terran, he has been using his ling muta to get beautiful positioning and engagements. At the same time, hitting his transitions and making really wise tech choices and composition switches. How he is using his units to buy time, is making everything come together really nice. Also, Idra hasn't been doing much overlord spotting, yet seems to have defenses in just the right places at the right time, otherwise known as "star sense"
I'm wondering what changed for him, it seems he's cleaned up some of the flaws in his play. Perhaps, EG's growing lineup of strong terrans has helped him. I've always felt like EG has several great protoss players as well, but they don't seem to get the results they should. I've been watching a lot of EG players stream recently, something has changed on their team. It's like every player has improved in the last month. It's great to see Idra doing so well, and playing so calmly and clearly. Hope to see more of this from him and the whole EG lineup. Get those results EG!
