I should probably make a twitter, that would be why I didn't send twitter info.

Looking forward to it! I should probably be good to play in this but there is a chance I might have to bail.

If/once you do. Please let me know

looking forward to playing

I'm excited to see how each region does. Not 1 of the 8 regions has a chance of meeting another person from the same region until the semifinals. (I'm only looking at the top bracket). Also, with breakout players like goswser, Sasquatch, and Boyo, to name a few, we are sure to have some crazy good matches!
|
I don't have much time to practice for this tournament but I intend on maximizing my practice time efficiency to provide the best possible games for the viewers. Best of luck to everyone else in the tournament. Lets get it on!
|
This is going to be such an epic tournament! The player list is really looking scary ALTBails, 4NotBoyo, coLAcademySasquatch, GoSuKyhol, coLGowser, vVvGlon, mMeHendralisk as well as everyone else trying to make more of a name for yourself! Good Luck everyone I can't wait to see how this turns out!

Sorry if im just being stupid, but I can't find the map pool.

No your not stupid. They were listed on the Z33k site, but in my rush I forgot to add them here. They are the same maps (except 1) as the regionals.

I think there are too many regions.

just seems like there's too many. There's not likely a whole lot of players from the Northwest or North, for instance
|
Surprisingly enough, Northwest has a pretty robust community of gamers. After the first tournament, there were over 140 invite sent out to players that didn't make it and only a few of them signed up for this one. North did have somewhat of a weak showing, but I'm betting we just need the word to spread a bit more.
|
5 hours left to report matches. I know a lot of FF wins will be taking place as people have chatted with me through z33k PM. So, who do you think your next opponent will be?
|
|
|
My money's on hendralisk. He's got that stereotypical Canadian politeness and handsomeness. Also, he's a pretty baller zerg.
|
Boyo has been on school break. As a New Englander, I'm kinda rooting for him to win.
|
|
I will indeed be there for the nationals.

|
Those odds seem pretty decent, good luck to both of those subscribers .

Only one more day, spread the word about this tomorrow and get all your friends to watch :D (and subscribe ;P)!

Wish the qualifiers for this weren't handled so, so poorly, because that's actually a really nice prize pool..

Yeah, having registration limited to 16 ppl per region on first come first serve basis was silly. The admins were pretty flexible and helpful though, and helped get some people in who missed the cut-off on the day of the event. Future quals should just be less restricted and then there's no problems =)

You say that, but if you go look at the actual qualifiers we had, even though well over 200 people signed up, not a single region had 16 total people. In other words if you had signed up, you would have had a chance to play.
On Wednesday of next week we have the next Swiss tournament. You have to compete in these style tournaments from here forward to make your way up to the $$ prizepool. It's a tiered system and the full aspect of it will be explained very very soon. But until then, who do you want to win?

We had set it so 20 mins before the event, anyone that was there could have signed in.

Is there a channel that we should meet up in?

We are missing 5 players ALTBails, ALTWebZ, ExioNNezi, EatMeDrinkMe, and Remark! Sign in quick... you are missing out on a $1000 Prize Pool!

In case those spots empty up. Some people signed up without reading the regional rules so players with NA accounts from Korea and other locations tried to sneak in. First person camera streams for the finals and semifinals oo. Sick production value, would love to see more tournaments incorporate this.

Ro8 happening now, great games so far :D

Boyo coming back from certain doom after being crushed twice by Glon. Which one of these titans will come out on top?
|
|
All players involved in the tournament, please send an email to drogith@nesc2league.com with your criticism. We want to adjust things so that they work best for the players and the streams. All negative stuff will be ignored, so please make suggestions with any of the criticism.

GLON!
I sadly did not get the chance to cast any of Glon's games today, but wow. Losing to Goswser in the winner's bracket, then storming back through a very good Sasquatch, Hendralisk, and Boyo, to sweep Goswser 3-1 (3-0 with Goswser being given a 1 game advantage for coming through the loser bracket), that is an impressive run to close it out.

Glon the man, huge grats to him! :D
