That was an interesting build by Fraer.
Did not think that would work out when the initial agression failed.

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but in what constellation does HasuObs come through.
Or is he already out?
Just zapped into this and wanted to know.
Thanks in advance.

Yo so what the fuck happened that game? I just got home and there's a Stargate next to Majors third (and he's expanded there) and there's Collosus and Void Rays on the field like this is beta. So yeah? Explain like I'm five?

He is through. No way for him to drop out of the Top 8 anymore.

Hasu is through, he is currently 9th on the list and one of those two, who are both ahead of him, will qualify directly.

Since it doesn't matter who wins, it's nice to just be able to enjoy this fun final series with very creative play. I love how Major can shift between so many different styles, embracing those funky cheesy plays and base races that make for entertaining games!

Idk, Major's macro game didn't seem that impressive because his ghost timings were so off, and I think that really cost him the game.

It is pretty hard to determine when to get ghosts when you're up against a guy who's making void rays, phoenixes and colossus though. Had he had ghosts in that last engagement he'd probably have won it, but hindsight is 20/20

So much good players missing for this TSL :/

who as far as EU/NA is concerned? Stephano and ?

HuK, Grubby, Dimaga, Lucifronn, Socke, Sheth, Morrow for example.

Huk, Morrow and Grubby are only hype and doesn't deserve a spot either for their play or their results lately, and you can in a certain extent say the same for Sheth and Dimaga. It's unfortunate for Lucifron and Socke but still they're not so much better than most of the ppl who qualified.

I was going to quote your last post and say this is where I list good players and you say how bad/overrated they are. I gave you the benefit of the doubt though...

Ignoring all the rest of things that you're wrong about. Saying Huk is all hype is absurd. Pretty sure he has more accomplishments in major tournaments than any other foreigner.

What's are huk accomplishment in 2012? and Naniwa has a better record than him now I think. (highly subjective too)

2012-03-25 4th 2012 MLG Winter Championship 2 : 4 Heart $ 5,500
2012-02-26 3rd 2012 MLG Winter Arena 0 : 2 DongRaeGu $ 3,600

And that's pretty fucking good. Regardless, why do only 2012 results matter?

because you've to be good now to qualify, not a year ago. Or Bitbybit would be a huge favorite ><

Bitbybit was 2 years ago.

Saying someone is all hype and then ignoring tournament results is ridiculous, and asking for only recent results is just what people do when they want to shit on a good player who has won too much stuff in the past. There are people qualified who haven't won anything, but according to you Huk and others are overrated and not worthy of qualification because he's ONLY gotten 3rd and 4th in MLG this year.

He played well in MLG Winter but then when you look at MLG Spring:
  • Arena 1: Finished last
  • Arena 2: Eliminated in Round 2
  • Spring Champs: Eliminated after two rounds (was seeded into open bracket R4)

Then he isn't getting far in the TSL4 Qualifiers. So people who expect him to place in the top 8 are basing the expectations on earlier performance (which was indeed on top), but one must consider the recent performance too, same for these new and upcoming players. In this quite large and very competitive SC2 scene it takes a little to drop below many other great skilled players and you must work very hard to get back there.

In the end the present performance is all that matters.

So if Major wins = Real is top 8, but if fraer wins, Real is officially dead, right?

Hasu is now in no matter what.

That is the 3rd time in this series where Major escapes with a medivac with 1 hit away from dying.

Only seeding will change, Real is out and Hasu is in.
