So for the European/NA qualifiers qualifying will be total of 18 players: 9 protoss, 3 terran and 6 zerg with 2 terran and 1 protoss qualifying from previous tournament results.

Counties the players represent:

Sweden: 5 (3/1/1)
Germany: 3 (2/0/1) (Daisy)
Ukraine: 2 (1/1/0)
Finland: 2 (2/0/0)
Poland: 2 (1/0/1)
Mexico: 1 (0/1/1)
USA: 1 (0/1/0) (Select)
Denmark: 1 (1/0/0)
Netherlands: 1 (0/0/1)
Spain: 1 (0/0/1)
UK: 1 (0/0/1)
Serbia: 1 (0/1/0)

Sweden is as strong as you would expect.

It is weird to count select imo... He lived and was raised in Korea until he was 18, only last years he lived in NA. With this kind of logic is Jinro Korean.

It depends on who you ask. Some people would count Jinro as korean now. When mana was asked if Bling was a top 5 protoss in EU and they listed them, they were asked why they didnt include Sase and Naniwa and Mana said it's because he considers them Koreans since they train in Korea. (said this during HSC)

Oh please.

Select plays with a Korean flag, hes Korean.

He plays under the american flag, actually... http://www.teamliquid.net/tournaments/admin/?action=bracket&id=3251.

Exactly.

I really don't understand how this keeps coming up. It's really fucking simple:

IT'S THEIR CHOICE.

HuK (As an example) is a dual citizen of the States and Canada, he chooses to play under the Canadian flag and we love him for it. (Though we'd love him either way). If he wanted to play under a Korean flag because he trained there that would be fine! I mean, it'd be a bit strange, like Lance Armstrong Biking under a swiss flag because he trained in the Alps, but it would be acceptable. This is e-sports. It's a global game and where you're born, shouldn't be the deciding factor in who you play for.

Didnt know you play for a country in sc2. Thought you play for yourself or for a team.

And really, these flags next to the names there dont say much. Not all of the players living in Germany that have a German flag next to their name are actually German.

Finally some logic. Why does it matter? No one has established any rules on this, so it's the players choice.

Of course there are rules, see those for TSL4 quals: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=339212#eligibility

Top 9 on points are
1. Major
2. SeleCT
3. Babyknight
4. LaLuSh
5. DarKFoRcE
6. Bischu
7. Fraer
8. JonnyREcco
9. Hasuobs
This is already factoring in 100 points for a 2nd place by Major and Fraer. Since only one of them can get 2nd place and the other auto qualifies, remove their name for this list and bump up everyone behind them a spot. ReaL can't qualify. Hasuobs is the last one in

Very stupid decision by Major, he could've easily put Fraer allin and gotten at least a draw out of it if he microed his dropships and killed the pylons, not the damned robo.
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie

I personally would've gladly traded bischu and lalush for cytoplasm and morrow, but you can't have everything now can you?

Major playing out of his mind right now. He's way behind, but holy cow he's still alive at least.
