MVP supposedly started the treatment for his injury. He has a case of cervical kyphosis, which is a condition where the neck's bend is actually reversed. So a mirrored C of a normal person's neck. This condition is worse than straight neck, which is often common for those who are on the computer for long periods of time.
"If the kyphosis is severe, you may begin to have problems with the nerve roots or the spinal cord, due to pressure on the nerves in the cervical spine. This may cause: weakness in the arms or legs, loss of grip strength, or difficulty walking due to spasticity in the legs."
I have no idea how he is even playing in HSC honestly...
It sounds pretty serious, and explains why he had wrist problems.
Hopefully He gets healed soon. (That is picture of MVP getting treatment)
I swear IM just has to outright say stop and force MVP to take a break, there's no way someone should force strain onto themselves like this, he already has an absurd amount of sponsors to cover costs and keep him afloat with money and once recovered he can breeze back into code S.
A simple break won't do anything and surgery for a condition like this is extremely risky (and expensive at ~$200,000) and the recovery time is 2-3 months with risk of further spine damage.
Sucks to be in USA. UK private operation for that condition is £15k-£20k.
To be fair, the situation I am referencing to was pretty extreme and the vertebrae had to be removed, replaced, and fused with pins and a metal piece. I don't know how advanced Mvps case is.
When I hear prices like that I'm fucking glad I live in Sweden. Sure we pay a shit ton of taxes but atleast an operation like that would, more or less, free.
Yeah it's pretty bad here, especially if you don't have insurance. I still remember when I got appendicitis it cost me ~$20,000 for the procedure and 2 nights stay in the hospital.
Man, i hate all these ppl telling not to stream the drinking of hsc. Its a party of the Cup, like a "extraordinary" location. And al this "you should not stream urselfe drinking" etc .. man, everyone is drinking alcohol ... dont be sucht a douch with it ...
This whole game was fun, but Sase even if drunk was really mean. I hope they will have no problems because of streaming this. Destiny was kicked out of quantic because of "raping" on the stream

I know watching Premier league footballers getting drunk surely wouldn't try to get streamed.
Yes, but a huge draw of progamers to their fans is, they are one of us. They have fun, play sc2, and hang out just like anyone else. When you see a Premier league footballer, you don't think "I could be there doing such things also".
Yeah, but... it's kind of unprofessional. In that situation, someone could've thrown up easily. With a sponsor shirt on them. So the sponsors have to distance themselves from that.... it's kind of tricky, so I don't think things like that should be streamed. Or at least the players should take of the 'uniforms' so they're officially in their casual, free time.
I see your side to it. I personally don't mind people having fun and it was funny for me to watch but there is the professional side to it. I think though there are players that would do that say koreans, aside from MC i didn't see any of them really interact with such things and even he said he wouldn't drink. So I guess its matter of opinions, after this I like the players i saw more but others might think differently.

Guy's in serious pain and just wants to earn money for his family so who cares if he's not the most fun player to watch who doesnt prefer long macro games. ( we know what he's capable of)
I wish i could have attended HSC to meet him, but hope he enjoys the rest of his stay in germany and finds the time to recover.
He doesn't want to earn money for his family. He wants to be the best.
The money is just a bonus.
But yeah people that hate on him are just idiots.
it's very well known that Mvp comes from a relatively poor family and thats the reason he orignally switched from Bw to Sc2, sure I know he wants to be the best but I think he's smart enough to take a break for recovery, putting his health over his gaming career, but maybe there's some pressure to earn money from his family, we dont rly know.
