In most real sports there is equal aumont of action in seconds 1-5400 of the game. This is not the case in sc2 where basicly nothing happens in first few minutes. They have nothing other to talk about. | ||

Not entirely so, I just believe that traditional sports have more of an industry surrounding it to generate digestible factoids for casters to repeat to viewers. Also, they have an entire team filled with interesting players while SC2 is one player versus one player. | ||

The swedish Tour de France (and other cycling tours I guess aswell but them I do not watch) commentators do something similar aswell. Not to the same degree but they talk about everything and I love it. I guess its such a slowpaced sport though so they need to fill the time more then in SC2 | ||

I would say the most valuable thing he gain is knowledge. Seeing the third timing and number of lings pretty much tell him the gas timings, drone count, etc. | ||
