He didn't say that Paranoid won, but that he was winning. Probably Paranoid decided leaving was the best solution and surrendered. I don't think it is match fixing and even if, it was fixed by Paranoid.
I guess admins will check replays from that game to verify this.

Glad to see Nerchio qualify. A foreigner who can legitimately take games off Koreans, especially in an online tournament.

Beat Bly 2-0.

Congrats Nerchio, didn't think he'd be able to come back after being down 0-2.

Even if I'm protoss I have to say - you can't win with 5 two-base allins in a row...

Congratulations Nerchio.

Two Swedish players as the runner-ups of the first two opens. Lalush almost secured his spot too.

Well, it was not the best final ever in term of level, but nice comeback from Nerchio.

Congratz to him, I'm glad that one the best European players is already qualified. Today's result seems more interesting to me than the qualification of the pretty unknown Daisy yesterday...

it is match fixing if nerchio and paranoid planned it before. i have the impression that paranoid was winning the game and knew he had to go so he just left. that would make sense why nerchio thanked him.

no, planning it before has nothing to do with it. during the coca incident they even just decided that during the game, sth along the lines "can you let me win anyway?" - "ok" as far as i remember.

and to be fair, nerchio said something similar to "he could just say he has to leave, it would be the same outcome". he didn't say paranoid had to leave at all. this is actually quite similar to the coca incident, whether they are friends (coca) or on the same team (acer nerchio/paranoid) should not matter.

/€dit: to clear this up, I'm not trying to get nerchio into trouble or anything, just wanted to state my opinion on the two cases being quite similar.

You have a valid point but we should let the admins decide as our information is limited

which NA players are good enough to qualify? it seems there is a high probability of an all eu/kr tournament, since seemingly EG dont play this so huk won't try to qualify, and he's the one NA player I can think of who is for sure good enough
