Your post sounds incredibly passive aggressive. The variety of times for this tournament have been shit for at least one continent, no matter when the games started.

I really dont understand why people are getting angry about the times.

MLG is an american event, its gonna suit NA times best. This happens to correspond with good KR times because of 13-15 hour time difference.

I dont think they planned it saying 'fuck EU'

Even for NA folks on the East coast this was too late, Only logical reason would be to get Korean views, but I don't think they had a Korean language cast going on (which they probably should have for the Kespa event)

Was nice to wake up to the restream though

I'm watching some of Flash' matches, and I'm quite impressed with his play. He really effortlessly multitasks. This guy -predictably- has incredible potential.

Watching the first match vs Bisu the way he microed back different clumps of troops was pretty impressive usually the bio ball moves as one unless people are spreading vs banes but to avoid the storms he had three separate groups that he was still kiting the zealots with.
(at one point he had two groups kiting back while the third group at the far left was pushing forward)

That is some serious micro

"Real" Vods are only available for HD-Pass Customers as far as i know guess the lowquality vods will be up after the event ( hopefully with all the downtime cut out :O )

Which reminds me, will the vods for the premium stream games be available for everybody aswell? Nobody could/wanted to answer me in the midst of the action yesterday.

I have a question by the way, the casters said during the KeSPA games that Flash played a game with a broken keyboard.

Please tell me it was just a joke. I know there was quite a few chuck norris-like jokes, but this one sounded plausible, which is rather scarry

Looking at these brackets. I wonder, would the viewercounts be higher if Koreans weren't at MLG? Or at least limited? Personally everytime I see barely any western players are left my interest just drops like a brick. I doubt I'm alone in that. In the end I'm sure MLG wants as high as possible viewercounts.

After seeing countless hyped foreigners get rocked in the Code A qualifiers I stopped caring about the foreign scene. You have no credibility IMO if you don't make it into Code A or have a winning record versus Code A players that are playing abroad.

MLG is all about the koreans IMO.

Well Huk (in the HotBig interview) and others pointed out that:
more foreigners left -> more viewers;
more koreans -> higher level competition.

To an extent. I doubt an MLG only consistent of foreigners would have more viewers than a good mix of the best Koreans and a bunch of the best foreigners.

I don't agree there. Western players getting schooled by noname korean X isn't much fun. Purist, top level play fans can just watch GSL. Imagine the world of tennis being dominated by solely Americans, you can bet your ass that Europeans and the like would lose interest. That's how SC2 is right now. Another example would be the Champions League in football. Only european teams. Maybe a Brazillian team is a lot better, but they simply don't get invited since it's regional.

Idra, while a mediocre player and a douche had to fight his way through countless unbroadcasted matches because the pools are 95% Korean. I can assure you more people would be watching if Idra was playing on the main stage.

The best scenario would be that there is a limit of the amount of Koreans invited. And I'm purely talking from a viewers perspective here. If it's fair is a whole other story.

Lol americans dominate Tennis ?

haha

I wonder how far MC will go on the last day. Curious to see if he'll just enter beast-mode - could be an interesting path for me (Monster -> Alicia -> Symbol -> PuMa)
