With an All-Kill format, Lucifron will be very dominant.
I feel that Naniwa and Sase are the only ones in the Quantic lineup who have a realistic chance of taking him down.
Should be very interesting to see both Lucifron and, maybe even more so, his brother Vortix play in this type of competition.

I'd say guys like Illusion and State (beat Gumiho, TSLShine, TSLHyun and Select last TAC) definitely have the ability to beat Lucifron as well. Karont3 simply lacks the depth compared to Quantic I feel, and that really hurts.

I look at the Quantic lineup and think they are going to win, but something in me wants Karont3 to win just cause they are so tiny

Lucifron can't beat everyone on Quantic, so Quantic is bound to win.

Dream Team Gaming vs Alternate Type is Thursday's match. aTn Type was added to the tournament the latest due to oGs disbanding, so they were given more time to schedule and complete their games. =)

Technically, he can.
And there's a smal chance of it happening.

I don't think he can beat Nani and Sase. His TvP is relatively unproven thus far, and he just got crushed by Finale.

If you look at it this way, everything about him is relatively unproven, he has played like four tournaments since he started playing events again. He won two and lost in two in the first round - coincidentally to Protoss - but it isn't like we have huge sample sizes in any matchup to make statements who he can or cannot beat.

Thus, I'm taking an open-minded approach and believe that he can beat anyone, especially in a BO1 and cross-server.

That doesn't mean he will - he probably won't all-kill Quantic. But if he gets a lot of help from the rest of the team, an upset isn't impossible.

Karont3 has a pretty cool logo, will be interesting to see which players quantic will line.

ITT people vastly underrated State and especially Illusion. Lucifron is great, but Illusion-State-Apocalypse-Sase-Naniwa is a gauntlet.

I don't think anyone argues that Karont3 is the favourite because they have Lucifron. Of course they are the underdog.

But they have great players like LolvsxD. :D And sometimes it's just fun to root for the team that's not favoured.

Edit: Hm, that went about as well as I expected it to. VortiX basically needs to win at least a map or two in order to make it somewhat possible for Karont3 to advance.

LolvsxD could have reacted faster to the cloak I feel, but I guess as a spectator it's easy to point out player mistakes. Still, he did so much damage with the bust, if only he had just a few more spores...

Losing to finale isnt something to be ashamed of. He's one of the most underrated Korean tosses, like Tear, Avenge. But I agree that LucifroN is going to need serious stuff to beaT Quantic.
I think it's finally time to admit it might not be the year of Pet

Ah, good ole ling-bling muta. It's always nice to see once and a while now that ling-infestor is so prevalent.
