Prize Pool is listed here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/5723014/WCS_Germany_Nationals-5_16_2012#blog No word is made though about it being increased, but it has been. What i have seen too that the Europe Finals would be held by Dreamhack on September 15-16 http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/6069088/ Suffice to say that the esports pages from Blizzard seem a bit of.. uncoordinated (blog has 15$, main overview page has 10k$ - 2 pages for the same thing = bad, dont do an MLG/ESL on us Blizzard!) --

I know you have probably insider information, but I would like to read something official. Ok, read it on the ESL website, but it still makes me wonder why? Has any other country this spot for the World Finals too? I never read anything that the winner of the dutch or belgium National will get a spot in the World Finals... I assume that that is due to the fact that the German scene is bigger and probably has quite a big number of players in high master or grandmaster league... At least that is my guess why Blizzard would give away a direct slot. Sort of like the UEFA Champions League. The best national leagues have direct slots for the champions league, while "weaker" national leagues don't. The national champion of Belgium has to go through qualifiers whereas the top3 of England, Spain and Germany are directly qualified, simply because the national leagues are stronger. I know the system is quite different, but I guess the thought behind it is similar. I'd be interested in some proper information about that though.
